Sheesh, the guy goes 1-0 in 2 starts made in an emergency and we are all over him. Good luck Rick, work out that breaking stuff and come back ready.

Exactly. Maybe if we had a medical staff that wasn't found working out of the back of a van in Hialeah, he wouldn't have been rushed and would still be one of our top pitching prospects. The guy's 23 years old and when he has control of it, his stuff is filthy.

Anibal starts Thursday, you have to think this callup is someone else until then.

Bullpen arm maybe?

That would be my guess.

Enough is enough, the next time he comes up, he has to have everyhting worked out. He is running out of options.

That isn't how options work. I think options are counted on a yearly basis, not on a per trip to minors basis.

That is correct.

Not only that, but if a player is on the 40 man roster, and starts the year in the minors, he's already used an option.

Rick Ankiel has wicked stuff too when he has control of it.

Where does this come from?

Because people are jumping all over him for having a bad start even though we asked for it by calling him up and rushing him to the majors?

It's his head not his arm that's his problem. Same as Tucker.

Who asked for it? Who called him up? Who rushed him? You make it sound like WE did that, lol. I don't think many people REALLY wanted to rush this guy. Just by looking at his minor league numbers, it should have been clear he wasn't ready.

Our medical staff rushed him by being incompetent.

If I may ask, why would they send Vanden Hurk to AAA? It's not as if he totally dominated AA. I hope he doesn't go on to struggle in Albuerquerque; that would suck.

They did the same thing last year.

His problem in AA was getting unfortunate with the long ball, very high HR/FLY.

He's already proven himself in AA. More K's than IP (9.58 K/9), pretty good control (3.30 BB/9, 2.9 K/BB), very good whip (1.20)

There also really isn't room in the AA rotation with Tucker taking Anibals spot, although Glenn ofcoarse could just be moved to the bullpen or something.
