Suggest a name for the new stadium

The Miami-Dade County Community Stadium

Well, it's city and country. You'd have to go the Miami-Miami-Dade City-County Community Ballpark.

Rolls right off the tongue.

I doubt they will set a name this year. The Twins signed a naming deal for Target Field until the end of the 2008 season. That would be in-line to Sept. 2010 for "Miami Ballpark".

There's been several threads on this before. My top favorites are: Bacardi Field and Burger King stadium (nicknamed the Whopper).

Oh man we could have "The Hopper" pitching at "the whopper" in 2012!!!! My life is now complete... haha

Can't we just call it "Spaceball One" ?

I like Bacardi better

Bring back the name "Miami Stadium". Or even better use the name park instead of stadium. The name park sounds like a place where baseball is played..... while stadium sounds like a huge place for football kinda like the stadium that the Marlins play in now.

I guess stadium works for the Yankees, but the name park is better for teams like the Marlins, Red Sox, (Field for Cubs), etc.....

Samson actually said on 790 "BTW, it's not a stadium, it's a ballpark." so that's an awesome step in a new direction. The Marlins themselves have been calling it the "new Marlins Ballpark".

How Bout "Marlins Ballpark"?

Too Boring.

Yea, and the nifty fees that come with having your name on the stadium would be nonexistent :( I hear that the Mets get paid something like 25M a year for the naming rights to their stadium.... Imagine that, a superstar's salary.

True, but I couldn't care less if the name was boring as long as we get good money from the sponsor it can be Publix Field or Latin American Cafe Stadium.

As a smart rapper once said "It's all about the Benjamin's baby".

I honestly wouldn't mind a Publix Park or something, even after having worked there for 5 years of my teenage life.

Sorry if any of these have been posted already:

The two sponsors I think sound best:

Bacardi Field/Park/Ballpark

Carnival Field/Park/Center

And one I could live with if only for the hilarious product placement opportunities:

Burger King Ballpark a.k.a the BKB or as previously stated in this thread, "The Whopper"(kind of looks like a burger with the roof closed lol).

Have The King being wacky with Billy, the 5th inning french fry and burger race, etc. etc. BK is dead last on my list of burger joints but they are based in Miami and the hilarity that would ensue could convert me lol.

When I think of the word "park" I think of swings, monkey bars, and old people feeding pigeons.

That's because you're a crappy baseball fan.

That's a little harsh, Rabb.
