Here's mine: Lindstrom (assuming he is not on the DL on Opening Day) Nunez Kensing Pinto Kalero Koronka Martinez Proctor will be on the DL I think Martinez knows this is probably his last chance to fulfill his potential. The FO must believe because they left him on the 40-man. He has the edge over Badenhop IMO. Kalero has been very steady in short relief so far and Koronka has been a little better than Meyer if they decide to carry two lefties.

Miller will be the fourth starter. It's almost a lock, especially with Anibal's terrible showing in his last start. Miller isn't doing much better, but they're going to go with the lefty to shy away from four straight righties to start the season. That, and Anibal clearly needs a little more time to prepare. Even more than Miller. And some of you really think Carlos Martinez is going to make the team? I mean, I LOVED his arm in his brief stint before his major injury, but idk if that's going to happen.
March 28, 200917 yr I think the last spot is between Burke Badenhop and Carlos Martinez. Fish love Badenhop's ground ball ability but I say send him down and keep him as a starter for when Anibal and Miller continue to struggle. Carlos Martinez projects as a decent RP. Brian Sanches has been hit hard so he's out. Koronka doesn't impress me at all- never has. I think these 2 guys have locked up spots and earned them....Dan Meyer (still has potential) and Kiko Calero (7 IP and 1 hit allowed). As far as the #4 starter spot, yes Anibal has an ERA of 4.94 and allowed 39 hits in 23 IP (but only 1 HR).....Andrew Miller looks awful again with a 7.82 ERA. I'd go with Anibal as he had a decent end to the season last year.
March 28, 200917 yr Sure Anibal has been rough lately but he still has a 14-9 career record with an ERA of 3.86. He did have 50 K's in 51 IP last year. He defiently gives us a better chance to win than Andrew Miller at this point.
March 28, 200917 yr Does Rick VandenHurk have options left? Yes. I'm really excited that Kiko Calero has performed well, that was the steal of the year for our bullpen in '09. And I'd love to see Carlos Martinez make the team, I love his arm and I love his stuff. Back to the fourth starter, though, I still believe they're going with Miller. Indications in recent days have pointed in that direction.

You are looking at walks and wild pitches galore because the young man is simply out of control. I would not put Pinto on the ML roster until he proves he can pitch without walking people ... in the minors.
March 29, 200917 yr Spelling reliefPaulino might not be the last player the Marlins acquire before Opening Day. They're monitoring relievers that come available as rosters take shape. A couple that bear watching are Cubs right-hander Angel Guzman and Giants right-hander Merkin Valdez. Neither has performed well this spring, but both are out of options. March 29, 200917 yr I think as of now, that last bullpen spot is between Carlos Martinez and Burke Badenhop but if Angel Guzman becomes available he would be a good pick up. Guzman could be a good long relief candidate.

During his career he has averaged 8.7 K's/9 and allowed only 117 hits in 153 IP. That's fantastic for a lefty! Sure you can't trust him too much because of walks but that's him- he's wildly effective.
