March 31, 200917 yr I was alluding to the article suggesting the team doesn't feel the need for a platoon partner for Hermida.
March 31, 200917 yr Why in the world would you want to make Hermida a bench player? he still has a chance to prove himself, but I personally feel he is just a player who will never live up to the hype he was given. Well you shouldn't WANT him on the bench, because this team needs big production from Hermida this year of they are going to make any noise. And they will. 97 wins baby here we come.

With respect, I just personally hope you are wrong.

April 1, 200917 yr I stated Hermida has this year to prove himself. and Eric, so far he has only had half a season of productive baseball. His hype was the be the 5 tool player (aka what Josh Hamilton is now), he has yet to show me any of his tools. He got a slap in the wrist at the end of last season when he was benched, and this year being what i would consider "demoted" to left field, he better get his act together, and i hope he gets his act together, because Hermida is crucial to us being successful, especially with a waste of a bat like Bonaficio in the lineup we will need all the hitting help we can get.' Did Erick even say anything?

Even if he never lives up to the hype, he'll still be 3 times the player Carroll is. Also, I must reply to your other post...Josh Hamilton is in not a 5 tool player. Don't get me wrong, he's very very good, but he isn't the 5 tool guy he seemed to be as a prospect.
April 1, 200917 yr i hope BC gets to play in the Majors, and stay in the majors. Kinda got a man-crush on him (no-homo) I really think he could contribute to the team.

Sometimes expectations play a large part in how people perceive a player.
April 1, 200917 yr How is this guy making the team!? His spring training stats. Now that we've acquired Ross Gload, Carroll is almost assuredly headed back to AAA.

Heh - yeah, I've made later posts where I realize the folly in that thinking. Even when Amezaga is back, they may carry Paulino, Alfie, two OF's, and Helms.
