May 12, 200917 yr Last year he was all over the box score as a home-run guy, an RBI guy, an everything guy, who just had a lot of errors. Now he is not hitting worth a jack. Didn't they work on his stance in spring training and supposedly made it better? Where are the results? I'm getting tired of him not performing as he should be. The Marlins announcers keep saying how he is hitting the ball well and is simply having bad luck. I'm not baseball player, but isn't being able to aim the ball, so to speak, part of the job description of a batter?
May 12, 200917 yr this is a guy who has not watched games obviously. Uggla has hit everything hard, every player goes through one of these stretches. He's missing home runs by only a few feet. He could just as easily be batting .320+ with 11 home runs at this point, but luck isn't always on your side. With the way he is swinging Uggz will break out of it, no question. Giving him time is the bset thing to do.

Good point. Still part of his sub .200 BA is bad luck. I do like that his OBP is pretty good, for a BA that low. Let's just hope he starts getting some breaks when he has good swings.

He's been fine just run into a ton of tough luck. By July I expect we'll see a much better line from him.

Ross = had an OPS over .800 last season and a .792 OPS as a Marlin. He was 12th of 26 CF in OPS and was one of the best defensive CF in baseball. Bonifacio = I agree Hermida = I don't agree. He has a ridiculous OBP of .383 right now.

He's 21st in BA at .193 and he is 2nd in strikeouts with 28.

This could also partly be due to the fact that opposing pitchers know that we have no one that can hit the ball batting behind uggla, they don't mind pitching around him, lets face it.... Danny doesn't have the best eye but he can hit the ball a mile... maybe Danny feels like he has to do too much
