May 27, 200917 yr Chris Leroux was sent to AA Jacksonville after today's game. No word yet on who is taking his place.
May 27, 200917 yr is this like musical chairs with our pitchers? Seems like nobody can stay in the majors for more than a day.
May 27, 200917 yr Since Leroux was not put on the DL that means we cannot bring up De Aza because it's been less than 10 days right? What other position players could we bring up? Is Fredo ready to come off the DL?

Is Fredo ready to come off the DL? Right, De Aza isn't eligible to return yet and Alfredo's still got some time left on his DL stint. Carroll is eligible to return now I believe in terms of position players.
May 27, 200917 yr Thanks Admin. I am thinking the Fish bring up an infielder because of the loss of Hanley.
May 27, 200917 yr I assume this is to bring up a position player. I liked what Leroux did today. We need good arms in the pen.
May 27, 200917 yr i liked what i saw in leroux today we could see him back up here soon. I assume this is to bring up a position player. I liked what Leroux did today. We need good arms in the pen. No offense but...give me a break

Is Fredo ready to come off the DL? With Hanley's injury, it means we're probably going to call up a MI. Our two options there are Andy Gonzalez (Won a job out of ST with Alfredo's injury, but has been horrible in AAA) and Manual Mayerson (Who I'd love to see. Great contact hitter, has strucken out just 5% of the time the last two years in the minor leagues).

Anyways, we took Andy Gonzalez off the 40-man roster on 5/21 to make room for Cristhian Martinez. I guess we can make space for him or Mayerson though.
May 27, 200917 yr Probably Carroll as he wasnt in the lineup in AAA last night. It is expected to be an infielder which would rule out Carroll.
May 27, 200917 yr Manual Mayerson (Who I'd love to see. Great contact hitter, has strucken out just 5% of the time the last two years in the minor leagues). well that would be a welcome sight on this team...
May 27, 200917 yr I checked the infielders in AA and AAA and all but Gaby are not on the 40 man roster. So, what do we do?
May 27, 200917 yr I checked the infielders in AA and AAA and all but Gaby are not on the 40 man roster. So, what do we do? DFA Jai Miller (having a bad year in AAA, and both Brett Carroll and De Aza are ahead of him on the depth chart as can be seen by the fact that they've been called up ahead of him)
May 27, 200917 yr It maybe Carroll Marlins roster options With reliever Chris Leroux being optioned after Tuesday's loss to the Phillies, the Marlins will make a roster move prior to Wednesday night's game. The team hasn't made anything official, but a strong possibility is outfielder Brett Carroll, who opened the season with the Marlins. Carroll, who has the strongest arm of any Marlins outfielder, was optioned to Triple-A New Orleans on May 15. Carroll had been playing right field for the Zephyrs, but he wasn't in the lineup on Tuesday night. New Orleans is in Las Vegas. If Carroll gets the call up, he will provide depth to the outfield. The Marlins had been carrying 13 pitchers, which has limited manager Fredi Gonzalez's bench. The team is expected to bring up a position player. Another concern is shortstop Hanley Ramirez, who left Tuesday's 5-3 loss in the bottom of the third inning with tightness in his right groin. So Ramirez may not be in the starting lineup, although he likely could be used as a pinch-hitter. If Ramirez isn't starting, Emilio Bonifacio is the likely choice to play shortstop, and Wes Helms would be a choice to play third base. Carroll's role has been as a defensive replacement, or a middle innings pinch-hitter. While center fielder Cameron Maybin has been hot at Triple-A, the organization wants him to keep playing and making improvements. The Marlins want to avoid rushing Maybin back to the big leagues, only to send him back down if he struggles.
May 27, 200917 yr Just wouldn't make sense to me. That would leave us with a bench of two catchers, an OFer, and gload (1b/corner OF). We'd have no one to play SS. I mean, if something happens to Uggla or Helms, Coghlan or Cantu can switch over. But no one on our team but Bonifacio would be able to play SS, so if something happens to him, who'd play SS?
May 27, 200917 yr Probably Carroll as he wasnt in the lineup in AAA last night. It is expected to be an infielder which would rule out Carroll. why would it rule out caroll we are only carrying 2 outfielders on the roster at the moment, why cant bonfico play SS Coghlan or Helms play 3b

Who plays SS then?
