June 22, 200917 yr There's no crying in baseball little girl. And you're still going to defend comments like this. Including people making fun of a little girl? Come on.
June 23, 200917 yr That's what the guy who was there and filmed it, a Marlins fan, said. Why should we expect that to not be the truth? Because it's YouTube. We don't know if the person who typed that actually witnessed anything. Was he in the autograph line? Did he actually hear with his own ears the one guy call the other guy's wife a whore? Or did he just hear about it from someone after the fight? Who really knows? It's hearsay. We don't know if the guy who filmed the video witnessed anything? I could be wrong, but wasn't it said that this whole thing originated in some autograph line? We don't know if the videographer witnessed that.
June 23, 200917 yr There's no crying in baseball little girl. And you're still going to defend comments like this. Including people making fun of a little girl? Come on. First of all, I thought I already agreed with you that making fun of the little girl is stupid. Secondly, I'm not really defending any particular comments as much as I'm telling you you're wrong in saying the Yankee fan didn't deserve it. He did.
June 23, 200917 yr I never said he didn't deserve it. I was just talking about the dumbassed comments, most of which were unfounded and stupid. We're also assuming there was nothing this Marlins fan did before hand.
June 23, 200917 yr its pretty clear that both people are completly out of line.... its not who started it, more the fact that they accutally resorted to fisticuffs. Its not right, but im sure we all enjoyed it. Its like going to nascar for the crashes. These people already made fools of themselfs, fair game in my book. And if you dont want to be in the public eye dont make fools of yourselfs. Also the line about there's "little girl there is no crying in baseball" is obvs a refrence to league of there own. Seemed like a slow response time, but dont know where the security was posted. Much more fans than usual not sure if they bumped up the security detail or not, should look into that in the future. Just speculation.
June 23, 200917 yr Not really. He did deserve it. The Yankee fan sucker punched the guy while he was being grasped by several people. It's clear that the Yankee fan deserved to be shoved down the seats. The reason the fight broke out, as of now, is nothing but hearsay. All we can go by is what happened in the video. It wouldn't have mattered what the video showed, and anybody with a brain knows that. It fits in with the "Yankees fans are douchebags!" stereotype, so it doesn't matter what happened. It didn't matter to almost everyone when someone came on and said the Marlins fan called his wife a whore. If someone called your wife a whore, how would you react? Probably about the same. Wow. Typical New York TRASH. Way to act in front of your little girl on Father's Day you piece of sh*t. And you're still going to defend comments like this. Including one saying "Kudos to this other guy for landing a cheap shot!" Come on. Are you serious? Are you really going to quote my comment and call it one of the "idiotic comments" made, acting like you are so f***ing above it all, when earlier in this post you basically defended the guy who started swinging first because SUPPOSEDLY the guy called his wife a whore? Way to be a gigantic hypocrite......... So I guess by your logic it's ok to traumatize your young daughter as long as you are defending mommy, interesting concept.

How do you know he started swinging first? This person happened to take their camera out just as the first punch was thrown? You cannot assume to know what happened. The person who posted the video explained the circumstances. The Yankee fan is not the only one in the wrong, and it's idiotic to defend the Marlin fan.
June 23, 200917 yr I really don't care when two douchebags go at it, it provides some good entertainment. But not with a little girl present, I can't imagine how scared she must have been. Stupid people making stupid decisions.
June 23, 200917 yr So I guess by your logic it's ok to traumatize your young daughter as long as you are defending mommy, interesting concept. Better than traumatizing your young daughter by hitting mommy instead
June 23, 200917 yr There's no crying in baseball little girl. There's nothing wrong with this comment. A little sense of humor. It really wasn't that tragic of a situation.
June 23, 200917 yr One thing I can't stand is when people try to break up a fight half-ass by just pulling on someone from behind leaving them helpless for the other douchebag to take a swing, if you really care about breaking up a fight you get in front of someone and restrain them that way. The springboard plancha was pretty awesome, though.
June 23, 200916 yr all parties should never be allowed in a stadium again ........... just idioticwas this happening about the time girardi was out protesting? - i heard the announcers mention something about security filing in below them to calm things down Agree.
June 23, 200916 yr This happens at any event that dispenses alcohol with more than 30,000 present. Nothing shocking.
June 23, 200916 yr all parties should never be allowed in a stadium again ........... just idioticwas this happening about the time girardi was out protesting? - i heard the announcers mention something about security filing in below them to calm things down Agree. I don't. In a stadium that has a hard time selling tickets as it is, I don't think it's a good idea to ban somebody for life over something silly like this.
June 23, 200916 yr yeah, because nothing draws fans in like brawls........... with a very large crowd, wonder how many potential future ticket purchasers walked away thinking this isn't an environment I want to take my family to when it should be "wow, this was a great time and a great atmosphere" you don't need to cater to drunks and dopes - if they can't handle themselves they don't need to be there

It was a harmless fracas. It's not like there was blood or anything. Not like those soccer brawls you see on TV where people are hitting eachother with chairs. There were no innocent people even close to being involved. It was just two people being dumb. I seriously doubt anyone is going to stop going to baseball games because of that "fight".
June 23, 200916 yr it wouldn't be wise to think that people wouldn't want to have to deal with that type of crap if you had a family of 4 that was seated near them don't you think they found it at worst annoying? you have to realize that the diehards will show up regardless, but when trying to attract new fans having fights in the stands isn't exactly good times or a way to win them over just like other sports events where the drunken dope who yells idiotic comments and is swearing at everyone in the section also decreases enjoyment of the game there is a reason why more and more teams are putting in codes of conduct into their season tickets and tickets in general and it's not because such idiotic activity is good for business

They are good entertainment.
June 23, 200916 yr Brawls at baseball games are not a good thing for attendence. Baseball is billed as a family friendly event. Lowest ticket prices in all major league sports, Sunday theme events that cater to kids such as running around the bases. Often there are give aways for fans under a certain age. Miami locals need to save their brawling skills for when the hated Jets visit down there. Us North Florida fans will keep our end of the bargain when the vile Steelers and their lowlife fans show up here in Jax.
June 29, 200916 yr Which one of you works for WTVJ? This was just on Sunday Sports Jam or whatever its called.
June 29, 200916 yr LOL...that Yankee fan got owned. Go back to New York ya punk... I was rooting for the Marlins fan all the way, very exciting video, the best fan fight video ever.
