9/19 post game

I think the Fish of the Game is Fredi Gonzalez, tonight. I actually agreed with pretty much every move tonight, which is rare.

I voted for Ross Gload simply because of the box score. The game was blacked out in G-ville for some college football game. =[

Overall it seemed like a great game!

I'm liking the pitching we've been getting lately!

i vote gload too, but props to ricky for giving us 7 innings for this first time in 29 starts (wtf fish!). Also, good job by lindstrom to get his first save in 1000000 years

I didn't like taking Sanches out in the 9th but Meyer got the job done and taking Meyer out made perfect sense with Lindstrom getting the job done with his, to quote Kazaki, variety of pitches. Good sh*t Fredi.

Cameron Maybin owes Ross Gload breakfast, lunch and dinner tomorrow! I still can't believe how ugly he looked trying to get a sacrifice bunt down, he would have gotten chewed out if Gload didn't do the job.

Great game for Nolasco, hopefully this shows better things to come from him to finish off the season.

Offense needs to wake up tomorrow before we start getting into dogfights with the Phillies so I'm hoping for a strong pitching outing and a nice 7 or 8 run cushion to take the series.

Not sure why Maybin batted in that situation anyway. You have just pinch run for Paulino so Baker has to come in the game anyway. With the luxury of Brett Carroll sitting in the dugout, how about batting Baker for Maybin? He's a great bunter and if he doesn't get a bunt down, he could pull the ball and get the batter over. After that inning you substitute Carroll for Bonifacio and your left with Baker catching and your best throwing outfielder in the game when you need him. I agree that Cameron looked pathetic trying to bunt. Once he failed twice, I would have let him at least try to hit.

Yeah, I agree with that one. That was the only move I didn't like, tonight. Didn't understand the bunt with 2 strikes.

Barring a miracle, looks like we'll remain 4 games back. At least we gain a game on SF though. Hopefully Haren can shut down the Rockies tomorrow and we can take care of business ourselves.

Just because you agreed with the move doesn't mean it was the right move.

Didn't watch the game, but it looked like Gload got it done for us. Too bad Arizona sucks.

I never claimed to be the king of managing. All I said was that I agreed with pretty much every single one of his moves tonight (which is rare), thus I voted for him.

I never said you said you were the king of managing. But just because you agree with what he did doesn't mean his moves were the right moves.
