Posted December 12, 200915 yr Nats will non-tender LHP Olsen Facing the midnight Saturday deadline to offer contracts to arbitration-eligible players, the Washington Nationals have decided to cut ties with left-handed pitcher Scott Olsen, said a source who requested anonymity because the official announcement has not yet been made. The decision to non-tender Olsen is not entirely surprising, given his uneven performance (2-4, 6.03 ERA) in 11 starts last year and his subsequent labrum surgery. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/nationalsjournal/2009/12/nats_will_non-tender_lhp_olsen.html?wprss=nationalsjournal Not saying bring him back, but...... minor league contract??? He would gives a little insurance in AAA just in case Miller doesn't get better or West needs more time or Anibal is hurt again, and so on.

December 12, 200915 yr Beinfest, you really suck for trading away these superstars. Damnit, f*****n Loria WANTS this team to fail. It's soooooooo obvious. LOL @ you sheep for not realizing. I graduated with a 9.7 GPA from UCF and now I am DONALD TRUMP!
December 12, 200915 yr If he's healthy, I have no problem with him returning. Great option for the back of the rotation.
December 12, 200915 yr Que Que? :/ For my English speaking brethren!!! What what? I liked Scott Olsen, he had something I call moxi. Also, I don't trust (have faith in) Miller. I'm not saying I want him on our team, but I would like a left-handed pitcher that isn't incompetent, or too young. In reality I really do like Sean West! If you guys ask, I don't know how to do the accent on the computer.

Just because his cap drips because he's sweating like a 10th grader when his girlfriend misses her period doesn't make him a good pitcher.

I never said he was good, I spent all off-season though saying that getting rid of him, when Miller still hadn't proven he had what it took wasn't a great idea. I still thought he was funny though. I mean, I guess I can't certainly say I know how he would've done with the fish, butMiller didn't do much last year either. I really do like Sean West! Also, ill at my spelling of moxie. Organic Chem and writing don't mix.

December 13, 200915 yr I suggest you start studying then. Or else you might never learn how valuable Olsen, Jacobs, Lindstrom, McPherson, and Andino are.

December 14, 200915 yr the nationals have signed olsen to a one-year deal. $1 million base salary but could make almost $4 million if he achieves incentives.
