I don't understand why leaving Volstad in was horrible. You have to give him a chance to finish that inning. It wasn't like the bases were loaded. Granted the bullpen hasn't been the best but saving them from coming out to early, seems like a no brainer. Good job Volstad, keep up the good work. We need quality outings.

and plus that whole pitch count is bulls*** and a joke. Back in the early 1900's, pitchers used to pitch complete games every game. Pitchers had anywhere between 150-200 pitches a game. You should base your decision on how the pitcher is performing. If he still has good stuff and still has his velocity, he's not tired so leave him in there.

I'm fairly certain that players are much different today than in the early 1900's. Pitchers pitch more games and throw the ball harder. If you were manager everyone on the freaking staff would blow out their arms before the All Star Break.
