June 26, 201016 yr Has thrown a lot of pitches, has walked a lot of batters, has hit one batter, and has thrown a wild pitch...but the walks, the hbp and an error are the only ways Rays have reached base.
June 26, 201016 yr oh no, not again... and worse...this game is hampering my viewing of the braves game on mlb network.
June 26, 201016 yr Do no-hitters even mean anything anymore? lol Seriously, congrats to him and his poor arm.
June 26, 201016 yr No hitter! And funny that Dontrelle Willis was the first person I saw charging out on the field to get to him. Congrats Edwin Jackson!
June 26, 201016 yr 149 pitches, 8 walks. An AJ Burnett no hitter. I bet I wasn't born yet the last time a SP through that many pitches in a game.

June 26, 201016 yr 149 pitches, 8 walks. An AJ Burnett no hitter. I bet I wasn't born yet the last time a SP through that many pitches in a game. Just out of curiosity I decided to check and there have been 96 pitcher to throw that many since you were born (assuming your birthday on MB is correct). The list is topped by Tim Wakefield with 172 pitches. Here's the whole list. Unsurprisingly there's a whole lot of knuckleballer all over that list. Also a lot of Rocket and Big Unit.
June 26, 201016 yr That has to be the worst no-hitter in history. Still walked less guys than AJ and only stuckout 1 less.
June 26, 201016 yr The beauty of a no-hitter is that it doesn't have to be pretty. This isn't the first no-hitter where a pitcher has been effectively wild, issuing a lot of walks but not really giving them anything good to hit either.
June 26, 201016 yr http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX5jNnDMfxA Lord, I had such a crush on her in that movie.
June 26, 201016 yr It was Ugly but he did it and boy did he earn it. 149 pitches got out of two big jams one with the bases loaded and 0 outs. I doubt he makes his next start but I also doubt he cares after becoming a part of history.
June 27, 201016 yr No hitters were mythical when I was younger. Something to hold in awe and amazement. Now, rookies, guys like Edwin Jackson who arent good in any sense of the word, and old guys who throw soft compared to what lineups are used to throw them almost regularly.
