I dont think it matters if the Dolphins haven't won anything in a while...they've been around the longest and for awhile were the only thing Miami had to offer. That's why they'll always be #1. The article isn't really a ranking of the teams, but rather some dude arguing that the Marlins are third place because the front office is incompetent.

But unfortunately among the local radio hosts and sports columnists it's all just Dolphins and Heat so there's no Marlins coverage except for the beat writers and they are not good at all.

And they took a million and half savings rather than keep Arthur Rhodes. They also let a terrific left handed pinch hitter and versitile bench player Gload) go to save a million bucks in salary. Any team that has David Samson involved with baseball decisions opens itself up for criticism.

This is a football city, so it's a wait and see on the Heat over taking the Dolphins. Although, it will happen if the Dolphins don't start winning soon.

The Marlins have seen their ratings take a 12% dive this year according to this article: http://www.sportsbus...m/article/66312 The Marlins and Heat are also tied in attendance for this most recent season (the Marlins averaged 114 more fans this season) which is pretty lousy when you consider 24 MLB teams average more than the best NBA team. And I fully expect the Heat to surpass the Marlins easily in the upcoming season when it comes to this statistic. I do think it is still all about the Fins and Hurricanes as long as they are relevant down here in S. Fla.

Mike Jacons for Leo Nunez. Juan Pierre for Ricky Nolasco. Kevin Gregg for Jose Ceda. All those bullpen arms that went from nothing to something for the Marlins. That was off the top of my head, too.

If it were all bad, we wouldn't consistently be an above .500 team, for the most part. The Marlins haven't been a joke, regardless of the media's popular opinion.

Looking at that website it looks like the Heat's ratings in the 2nd half of this past season were in the 2.50 to 2.60 range (*) so the Marlins ratings of 3.05 early this season are about 20% higher than the Heat's.
