There always is. There seems to be always someone who should be there and someone who shouldn't be there. Same thing in BCS

I'm confused. Why was there a play-in game for the 12th seed(UAB-vs Clemson)? I thought the play-in games were for the 16 the seeds.:confused :confused I don't even understand why there's play-in games to begin with. Just eliminate 4 at-large bids and have 64 teams.:confused

I know that. How come the 4 play-in games aren't for the 4 16 seeds? Another thing that confuses me is how anybody can think that the existence of the play-in games is perfectly logical. The whole selection and seeding process is one big f***ed up mess if you ask me.

Because the "bubble" teams whose exclusion frustrates fans/analysts were not going to be 16 seeds; they were going to be 11 or 12 seeds, typically. 13-16 are reserved for the weakest teams that won their conference tournaments.

And since the goal is to give some more "bubble" teams a shot, they added the 2 play-in games which do not involve 16 seeds.

Was reported earlier that he was expected to take job. I bet there was a deep sigh of relief in west lafayette. I'm guessing he leveraged it for a big pay day
