SilverBullet
I guarantee a win today as I am creating the game thread. Wise Infante Ramirez Sanchez Morrison Murphy Kroeger Hayes Petersen West People want the Marlins to be winning more... but don't people realize that we are still sending out a group of backups in each game? At least 4 of those guys, plus West, don't belong in the starting lineup... period. This spring so far has nothing to do with team record. Enjoy the game but thats it. AnonymousAnomaly
I blame the defense more than West. Absolutely pathetic, even for ST.
pollythewog
Hanley's 5th error of ST. Lead by example it looks like.
Fishes on the Pond
I've heard the theory before about a lot of invitees/backups in the line up and that's the reason for the losses. BUT I've seen line ups with all but 1 proposed starter, and they've still lost the game. This is the 8th straight loss?????? Yes some has to do with pitchers trying new pitches/working on pitches. BUT how many ERRORS???? I believe HanRam is a starter and he has had 5 so far this spring training. This has gotten old real fast. I want to see some ball games!!! canada-marlin24
webb pitched pretty well but i am really not impressed with dunn at all. all of this working on their pitches sh*t is starting to look like bulls***. guess whatever they are working on isnt really working. I agree about Webb. What was so unimpressive about Dunn today? His first pitch was a mid-90's fastball that he missed location on, which B.J. Upton hit out of the park. That happens. After that, Dan Johnson's single was a blooper, and then he got 3 outs. He made Reid Brignac look like a minor leaguer, as Brignac was completely overmatched against him. I thought that was a good sign, especially when you consider that Brignac is left-handed. Little things like that are being looked at in Spring Training way more than overall stats. Nobody cares about overall stats when you've only pitched 5 innings. If anything, I'd be more worried about Mujica. He looked much worse. By the way, Hanley Ramirez doesn't count as one of the starters today. Great player of course, but it was pretty obvious he didn't feel like playing today. I had enough of that attitude with Freddi. SIT HIM
