From a purely fan standpoint, it's going to be fun to see Felix pitch.

Plus the Mariners are my AL team.

Someone needs to explain to me why we won't bring up a 5th starter rather than doing this stupid 'bullpen starts' garbage? Chris Sampson is available and he's actually had success before. Yet we keep going with Brian Sanches, who's best pitch is a fastball, and isn't going to fool anyone.

1. Brian Sanches best pitch isn't a fastball.

2. Chris Sampson sucks.

I'm not saying Sampson's a great pitcher, but I'd sure as hell rather put him out there until Josh comes back than throw Sanches again.

Guys, I think we're close. We just need a different dog face.

I propose the following:

Marlins=The Nothing. Us=Atreyu. The new stadium=The Childlike Empress. Give the stadium a name and the Marlins will start winning again. Well, that analogy isn't quite right. But I think it could work. GIVE THE STADIUM A NAME!!

Edit: Losing = The Nothing. The Marlins = Fantasia. The new stadium = The Childlike Empress. Loria = Atreyu. Bastian=us. That's better.

went to the game.

just a another brutal loss to throw into the pile.

everyone thought trumbo would be out off the bat but of course hanley gets the terrible hop.

those 5th and 6th runs were just terrible and both with 2 outs.

hanley looked much better and was really pumped after he made that catch in the 9th. nice to see at least a decent crowd for a wednesday.

oh yeah and john buck is absolute garbage.

6 runs from the bullpen, not a very good start by Brian. 5 runs should be enough to win ballgames.

Technically, the bullpen stats will say that they only allowed two runs tonight.

And you can't blame Brian Sanches, really. [/b]He's a reliever, and there's a reason why relievers aren't starters. Ran out of gas second time through the order...not surprising.

Not really. His velocity was still up. The problem was they figured him out the second time through the order. Laid off the fork ball and sat on the fast ball.

I thought the Torii Hunter incident was going to shift the momentum our way; alas, that didn't happen. LoMo and Buck need to get the bats going -- neither player had a hit.

LoMo had good at bats and ripped the ball. Buck, on the other hand, was anemic. Looks clueless and cannot make anything but weak contact. I too would like to see Hayes a bit more-Buck is killing us, and try to throw someone out stealing once in a while. Yes, with the big contract come some expectations.

As I've said before, this team is done. Someone else said, but this team ain't going on a silly win streak. 11-5 in the last 16 games before All-Star break is 44-47 at Break. If the Marlins are 8 below at the break 49-41 in second half to get to 81-81. TEAM IS DONE.

Still gonna catch the games though...

i would have to agree, simply because its unlikely ATL will drop back down to .500

He was missing up and he was missing middle the second time through the order; he ran out of gas.
