Posted July 1, 201113 yr I have many favorite bands, mostly rock and mostly 90's, but there is one album that sticks out with probably more than the 3 "hit" songs it is known for. Make Yourself - Incubus (1999) They don't make albums like this anymore. 1. "Privilege" - 5 Stars 2. "Nowhere Fast" - 4.5 Stars 3. "Consequence" - 5 Stars (One of the best songs not known) (Favorite) 4. "The Warmth" - 5 Stars (No one has done this before) 5. "When It Comes" - 4 Stars (lyrics save it) 6. "Stellar" - 5 Stars (Classic) 7. "Make Yourself" - 5 Stars 8. "Drive" - 5 Stars (Classic, see below) 9. "Clean" - 5 Stars 10. "Battlestar Scralatchtica" - 4 Stars (Didn't think it fit at first but it's insanely chill) 11. "Miss You" - 5 Stars (Again probably one of the best songs not known) 12."Pardon Me" - 5 Stars (Classic) 13. "Out From Under" - 4 Stars (Probably my least favorite song on my album, but it's still great!) http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgT9zGkiLig Check out Grooveshark if you want to listen to the album Whats your favorite?
July 1, 201113 yr It alternates between Yankee Hotel Foxtrot by Wilco, Abbey Road by the Beatles and OK Computer by Radiohead. It's any of those three, but I never know which.
July 1, 201113 yr Something between: U2 - The Unforgettable Fire U2 - Achtung Baby The Airborne Toxic Event - The Airborne Toxic Event Red Hot Chili Peppers - By the Way The Killers - Day & Age Beats me though... Arguably the last two were just thrown in there... but it could be any of those top 3.
July 1, 201113 yr I love The Joshua Tree, and I love just about every U2 album. However, the track listing on TJT is what I have a problem with. They kinda just jumped out there with their three best songs and it kills the listening value once they're done... you don't get another phenomenal song until about One Tree Hill. Irks me... plus the order really doesn't necessarily make sense or have a purpose, so there was no reason to not balance out the album. That, and the fact that while the top 3 are certainly better than the top 3 songs on Achtung Baby, it once again has a top-heavy aspect to the album. Achtung Baby is filled. Complete. Not a song I couldn't listen to a million times over.
July 1, 201113 yr Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not Blink 182 - Take Off Your Pants And Jacket Guns N' Roses - Appetite for Destruction The Killers - Hot Fuss Just a few...

July 1, 201113 yr Great pick with Make Yourself. My pick is: There's not one bad song on the album, my personal favorite:

They kinda just jumped out there with their three best songs and it kills the listening value once they're done... you don't get another phenomenal song until about One Tree Hill. Irks me... p In God's Country? Bullet the Blue Sky? Can't really go wrong with either of those 2 albums though, so yeah. Cure - Disintigration was my favorite for a long time, but my list probably changes a lot with age. I dunno if it's gonna last as one of my all-time favorites but I haven't really stopped listening to The National - Boxer since it came out in '07. and Schnell - love the Arctic Monkeys :thumbup. how do you rate Worst Nightmare compared to Whatever People Say.?

Good man! I love Favourite Worst Nightmare as well though prefer their debut album. I'm not really a fan of Humbug (like most people) and as yet haven't listened to their 4th album, Suck It And See (only song I've heard is Don't Sit Down Cause I've Moved Your Chair). I kinda understand why they feel they needed to evolve as a band as though the up-tempo tunes on their first couple of albums are better IMO, they cant keep writing about their teenage antics and going out to clubs etc - the type of songs which lend themselves better to their original style.

July 3, 201113 yr why the hell is "Album" in quotes? also, I just had to think about this for like 10 minutes and settled on:
July 3, 201113 yr I rarely listen to albums, usually just pick and choose songs I like. If I had to choose though, it would probably be Love every song on that album, especially: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=4gRE-JL1V3g
July 3, 201113 yr I'm with jmp in that I don't exactly have a favorite album, but I suppose it would be All That Remains' "The Fall of Ideals". It's the first band that got me into the really fast drumming/guitar stuff, and I love listening to it. Oh yeah.

Zoo Station >>>> Trip Through Your Wires Tryin' to Throw Your Arms Around the World > Exit Acrobat >>> Mothers of the Disappeared Love is Blindness - (TJT is 11 tracks)
July 4, 201113 yr I really don't have a favorite album so I'll go by CDs I played the crap out of: 1) Dream Theater - Images And Words (If Metallica went to Julliard to learn classical music but still maintain the metal sound - this is what they would be minus the growl) 2) Asia - Asia (When this came out in '82, it put the word Super-Group into the English language) 3) Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory (It got overplayed by many, but what a fresh sound when it first hit) 4) Staind - Break The Cycle (Lyrics are personal and you can tell) 5) Billy Joel - Glass Houses (You May Be Right, It's Still Rock 'N Roll To Me - All For Leyna was such an underrated song) 6) Journey - Frontiers (Separate Ways, Faithfully - The 2006 reissue tacked on songs originally left off the album like Only The Young, Ask The lonely and included Only Solutions from the original Tron soundtrack) 7) Genesis - A Trick of the Tail (Phil Collins finally replaced Peter Gabriel in 1976 and what a debut as lead singer - the later (and more commercial) albums don't compare) 8) Rush - Grace Under Pressure (The height of their keyboard phase - it got me hooked on the band) 9) Information Society - Information Society (A fun synthesizer album from the late 80's - Pure Energy rocked) 10) Weezer - Blue (Had an advance copy of this before it hit stores - knew it would catch on) Honorable Mentions: 1) Pearl Jam - 10 (Soundtrack of my college years - this and STP/Nirvana) 2) REM - Lifes Rich Pageant 3) Killers - Hot Fuss 4) Spin Doctors - Pocket Full Of Kryptonite 5) Fuel - Sunburn
