Yeah. Good job ricky. Good ricky showed up. I want a sweep going into the break. Sure, they start playing well and now they have to stop for thje all-star break.

6 more would be....48-48? I be happy with 9 streak. Now a 20 game streak like in 2006...

Hot S**t we can get those? I was just trying to keep reasonable with 6 (would like to get to 500 and just hit the reset button from there).

Great game for Nolasco; hopefully we can sweep the series tomorrow.

Yes. Team won 20 straight 06..41-61 to 61-61. Duuuuuuuuuh.

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I saw D-Train throw a CG shutout that year against the Phillies!

Admin can prove it! :p

It turns out that Ricky Nolasco is still Ricky Nolasco this year. Completely horrible in some starts early on and then just starts being dominant as if nothing ever happened.

People (and when I say people I mean people on this board) have doubted him from day 1, he has good stuff and is a good pitcher.

I'm a Ricky fan, but he has good stuff 2/3 of the times he takes the mound. But he still has issues on the 1/3 of the time he doesn't seem to have anything going and that's what keeps him from being great.

All quite possibly true.

As he said tonight post-game (and I paraphrase,) "It's a long season and there are bound to be a few bumps in the road," referring to his few bad outings.

But, even Philly's top 3 are only 30-13. Which means they have "issues" of some sort about 30% of the time. Nature of the beast.

I, too, am a Ricky fan. He's only 28. He seems to have figured things out. He's dedicated and works hard. He usually has great stuff and when he's on, he's almost unhittable.

He's just pulled off 2 complete games in his last 3 starts, and it's probably not coincidental that both are since Jack arrived. In his previous 5 years he had a total of 4 complete games.

He throws strikes and attacks hitters, probably now more than ever, especially after listening to Jack and watching him yank guys for pussyfooting around trying to make perfect pitches and walking guys. That had to strongly reinforce his already existing philosophy of pitching.

In 19 starts, he's only allowed more than 4 ER four times, more than 3 ER six times. There's your 1/3rd. That certainly doesn't make him "great" yet, but I think he's on his way. There's a reason they signed him for 3 years. Add Jack to the equation, both for Nolasco and everyone else and Jack may be the biggest bargain of the decade.

Not had the Internet fr a few days now as I moved places for 2nd year at uni. Gutted as we start the winning streak.

I can't believe we have won 4 in a row with near enough the same side we had in June.

Let's not forget that it is Houston we are playing and we would be disappointed not to get the sweep but remember the old saying.. 'you can only beat what's in front of you'.

What was with the little tantrum Bourn threw after the triple? Did they mention it on TV?

And...

From our seats, that double in the 9th looked like Wise got completely turned around and should have caught it.
