MarlinsCanes
What moves would you like to see next year? I would like to see some starters added that can give some good innings. I hope Hanley comes back with his head clear and injury free. 3rd base may be an issue?? Is Boni the answer at 3rd for now? Does Jack stay another year? Or does the front office push to get Ozzie in here? This season has been tough to watch with all the injuries and so forth. Hope next year is better. Can't wait to see the new field. Go Marlins! enterthemadness
1. Try and re-sign Vaz. Change his mind on retirement. Offer him a incentive based deal. 2. Vaz retires or some team offers him a insane deal...and go after FA SP. 3. Go after a FA legit 3rd or CF. 4. Playoffs. 5. World Series. EricWiener
The team will try Dominguez out at 3B. The team will want to put Coghlan in the lineup. Unless the team is willing to move Gaby and acquire and IF AND and OF - expect nothing. With the personnel we have now, there will be almost no change. Part of me wants to assume you are being facetious, but you've said some other silly things recently. The steps you outline are not nearly enough to turn the Marlins from a last place team to a playoff team. The Marlins already have Vazquez this season, so I wouldn't exactly say that they are a 3B or CF away from contention. It's essential that Johnson be healthy for almost all of next season. I'm not too optimistic right now. Hanley needs to get his groove back, which isn't a guarantee. Assuming Infante doesn't coming back, the Marlins will need to find both a CFer and a 3B for next season (unless they are really thinking that Dominguez will be ready--I don't think he will be with all of the injury setbacks). Assuming that Vazquez retires, I'd like to see them bring in potentially two new starting pitchers. I've had enough of Chris Volstad. If they manage all of that, they might be able to compete with the Phillies.
AeroFishOne
Has Josh Johnson had a healthy season since he became our technical ace? I would hate to lose him and would no consider him trade material at this point but dang is it frustrating to have him sit injured. Let's look at it this way, the lag time we changed uniforms we won the world series. Taadaa, it's that simple.
Puma
I still don't know why people think Ozzie would fit in well with this organization. The Marlins do not like outspoken people, period.
StantonisKing
Sign C.J. Wilson. If Josh Johnson can actually stay healthy for a full year we have a top 5 rotation. If Josh goes down again, we still have an ace starter.

Yeah, I'm still in the 'I'll believe it when it see it' stage as far as Ozzie signing with the Fish.
FishFan88
i would love ozzie but i don't feel like FO would like his mouth. JJ healthy, hanley producing. And some decent food across the ballpark, i'm concerned the "good food" will be limited to this taste of miami foodcourt in one area. but i'm sure i'm wrong. this current season makes me want to kill myself. I'm tired of seeing the Fish on the smallest screen in the bar.

Gonna be different going to a game and have all the food courts open all the time. Right now on most nights it can be a long walk just to get something to drink. hovertical
as someone mentioned earlier, I think signing CJ Wilson would be a TERRIFIC move for the team as he also gives us a damn lefty in the rotation for a change. The team needs to part with some ways with some of its young kids who they have held onto for deal life these past few seasons for reasons no other than they were cheap and have shown occasional signs of production - I'm mainly speaking about Coghlan and Volstad. I'd love to see Dobbs retained but only as a bench player - the same goes for Infante although I can live with him starting as he's slowly gotten better throughout the season until his injury. Anyone know when Brandon Phillips becomes a UFA? If they want to make a splash in their new digs they are going to have to go out and buy some guys, I think the front office knows that and isn't stupid to the point they are going to roll into their new home as-is. I no longer have high hopes for JJ simply because he's one of those unfortunate cases where he has immense talent but his body just doesn't cooperate. He's going to be frail for the rest of his career - all the more reason to bring in C.J. Wilson (who will be $$$$$$$$). LF - Morrison (he'll be starting here barring trade on opening day) CF - Possibly Bonifacio? Maybe Coghlan again? I would have loved to have snagged M. Bourn but alas he's in the ATL now...this is a spot that could be improved, I highly doubt they'll start the season with Cameron as their everyday CF. Position in flux really. RF - Hmmm? perhaps Stanton? =p 3B - I know they have a hard-on for Dominguez but his bat has simply never shown MLB ready so I can't fathom them starting out in their new park with another ? in the lineup. This will be Boni's spot if someone else is playing CF. SS - Hanley 2B - a huge ?...could be Boni, could be Infante. could be someone else 1B - I'd still like them to get a different 1B other than Gaby who seems to fade post-allstar break. I could live with him there if he's not relied on to bat 3rd or 4th in the lineup. I think he'll still be here next season. C - Buck/Hayes combo is set Rotation: (a healthy) J.J. C.J. Wilson Nolasco Anibal Vazquez (he said last year he wants to play it on a year-to-year basis and he likes being this close to home)
