That 4-on-3 PP in OT was just atrocious. It should be much easier than a 5-on-4, and they could hardly gain the zone.

More importantly, we still haven't scored more than 2 goals in this calendar year.

I made this point earlier. It's been a while since we've really stuck it to an opponent offensively. Not good, although tonight if it weren't Boston I'd imagine the effort put in was good enough to score 4 goals against an average team.

I don't understand why Samuelsson took Garrison's spot on the point for the first minute+ of that.

I am seriously at a loss for words.....i just spend 5 minutes in silence.

the minute colorado scored the second it felt like a flashback to past years. it was so obvious.

there was wayy too much time left to rely on the 1 goal lead and we got off like 1 shot on a 4 minute power play.

just another point given away as usual and 5 more odd man rushes that end up in nothing.

great, feeling really good about this team right now.

and if we ever win in OT again I will be shocked. thats 10 OT losses already.

since December 11 we are 5-6-5.

At least we're somehow 3 points ahead of the 9th seed and tied for the division. This team is playing some terrible hockey right now, though.

Chicago's next, that's probably a loss. Unless they show up playing like they did against Boston then they might have a chance.

the fact that we have to play chicago next is even worse. then the jets and flyers.

washington has 4 wins in hand and i see about 6-8 points that have literally given away this year.

Boston's recent performances and the one versus Tampa have lessened the impressiveness of what we did last match versus them.

Blowing that game in Colorado is devastating. We're getting so lucky right now, it's incredible.

The real problem is that all the other east teams like ottawa, pittsburgh, and new jersey are pulling away and if we cant stay ahead of washington things are going to get very tough.

That would leave the 8th seed.

Also, those teams aren't exactly "pulling away."

Although I will say Pittsburgh has a much better team than us if they can get healthy.

It's pretty unlikely that all of the teams will continue to play well all year. That remind of when people were thinking you'd need 11 wins to get the AFC wildcard this year in the NFL, but inevitably most of them fell off, and 9-7 actually secured the last seed.

Err... in the NHL I'd say it's different each year. Sometimes you do need that 11th win.

I agree though, I wouldn't expect those teams to keep up the pace. And I'd like to echo what Erick said... those teams aren't exactly 'pulling away'.

the first goal i could sort of deal with.

the second one really gets me pissed against a team like chicago.

versteeg and fleischmann have force fields in front of the net so they cant score again.

I think it would be great if Kris Versteeg was a healthy scratch tomorrow night.

On the bright side, Washington lost.

It's disgusting that we're tied in GP, tied for the division points, yet 4 less wins. That speaks volumes about this team's ability to finish.

Thank God the Southeast division sucks ass.

I'm starting to worry.

Should we be worried?
