Nolasco might be trade bait

Featured Replies

I'm sure a team like the Yankees, Rangers, or Reds could make a trade for Nolasco. Getting rid of him wouldn't be difficult; just don't ask for too much and offer to eat some of the salary.

also hearing that carlos quentin, john danks, and gavin floyd will very likely be traded.

quentin is always injured but a guy like danks or floyd could be a nice replacement for ricky if he is traded. both should have more success in the NL.

could be cheaper too. floyd is owed 7 million next year with a 9.5 million dollar team option for 2013.

for a little perspective. in just 12.1 innings more than floyd, ricky nolasco has given up 64 more hits.

floyd also had a nice 1.16 WHIP while ricky's was near 1.40.

By the way, who told Nolasco or let him think that pitching to contact is better than strikeouts? For a guy woth his strikeout ability, that's stupid.

Dick move, Bob. Dick move.

Funny stuff. Not the comments, just who you are listening to.

I stick by my view. K's are over rated, just get the outs whichever way works best for you.

If he were to be traded the best idea would be to get rid of the salary and use it elsewhere. I never have liked paying someone to play someplace else.

I was jokin', of course, I know you didn't have anything to do with Nolasco pitching to contact. lol

Would love John Danks in our rotation. Don't know his contract details or anything.

I agree with the bolded, and strikeouts were what Nolasco did best. I'm not so sure anymore, unfortunately, but he doesn't seem to be very good at "pitching to contact."

I agree with you. I'm just saying don't ask the world in return. Getting Danks would be terrific.

yes danks would be good but floyd might be a little more affordable since danks has to go to arbitration.
