BASEBALL TRIVIA - Marlins & Other Teams

I came across an interesting trivia question, so I'll post it here. Please don't "Google" and post the answer, let others try to guess on their own... If you have a cool baseball question, feel free to add on to the topic...

QUESTION #1: When Mike Stanton made his Major League Debut against the Phillies in 2010, the 20-year-old had three hits in the game. Before Mike, the last time a 20-Year-Old rookie had three hits in his debut occurred back in April of 1979 by a player who had a better career in a different sport... Who was he?

Danny Ainge? I know he played with the Blue Jays for a couple seasons before he was in the NBA

Danny Ainge is right!!!! Danny and Stanton are the last two 20-year-old rookies with 3 hits in their debuts... Who has a good question about baseball....???

If Jason Heyward hits a homer in his first at bat of the season this year, he will tie a Major League record.

What record is that and who will he be tying?

My guess is: Tying a record for Consecutive seasons Homering in 1st AB of the season... and tying Ken Griffey, Jr.

You're mostly right on the first part - it's record for consecutive seasons homering in 1st AB of the season to start a career, and it's not Griffey.

The name Paul Molitar (sp) jumped into my head for some reason. doubt I am right but i do have psychic tendancies.

I guess its my turn, Who's the only player to play in the Little League, College and MLB World Series and the World Baseball Classic and Olympics?
