A team could use it's rotation in the 1-game playoff as well.

Ace - innings 1-2

#2 - innings 3-4

#3 - Innings 5-6

#4 - 7th

Then setup and closer take 8th and 9th.

Boo yah.

Just 2 innings from your starters means you can use em again in 2 days.

Not really. One game's so short, so there's some element of randomness and dumb luck. That A-game of a team doesn't necessarily reveal itself in such a short period of time. A 100 loss team has a high enough probability of beating a 100 win team that it's necessary to play multiple games in a row to establish an adequate sampling size.

That's why there's 162 regular season games and why playoff series have mostly been 5-7 games. The is the first time in MLB history that a playoff series has been decided by 1 game.

Wow, the Braves are getting f***ed over by this call.

The Met fan in me is happy their getting f***ed, but Admin shouldn't be subjected to this in his last game. He deserves better.

I hope they over come it.

Those braves fans, I'm proud of them. Derail the game! I hope the game gets restarted and it happens again if they don't come back this inning.

Anyone else surprised about how much emotion Freddy showed? I've never seen that. He might still be employed here if he did that once or twice.

All we need is him throwing the rosin bag like a grenade.

"Braves fans need to be better than this."

Uh, hell no, their team just got completely f***ed over, I'd be pissed too.

And it wasn't overturned. BS BS BS.

So now its even. Bases loaded and 2 outs like it would have been :)

I agree; I've become not a fan of this game. The reason why the final week was so exciting had nothing to do with this second wildcard, either. It's just rewarding mediocrity.

Cool, that just brought down Bourn's price right? 4 years/10 million GETIRDUN

This is f***ing unbelievable. That has to be one of the worst calls I have ever seen. That is the left field!

To be fair, the Braves got two runs on strike four.

Game under protest now.

That probably won't do anything. This seems like a judgment call and those never get overturned.

Agree even though its garbage.

What about the play-in game that decides the Wild Card?

Well, then again, that doesn't count as "playoffs," it's still regular season ...

Yes they did.

Still, though.
