Erick Posted October 6, 2012 Share Posted October 6, 2012 It just makes no sense to hear players/managers call the season a marathon all year only to have it decided by one game in the end. The Braves won six more games than the Cardinals. It's kinda dumb. It's a shame they didn't put in like 10 wildcards this year. We would've totally made it! No more dumb than allowing 5-7 games to decide the full season. I don't see how 4 or 6 games makes that much more of a difference over the course of a full season. I don't think that makes sense. 5-7 games allows you to at least setup a rotation, etc. I get your point in a way, but one game is a total crapshoot and, again, it's unnecessary.
