January 18, 201313 yr I think Team USA has a real good shot at winning it this year... Not if God is still testing Heath Bell.
January 18, 201313 yr It sucks that they couldn't get Posey, Trout, and Verlander. And Harper and Trumbo and Kershaw and Strasburg and Price and so on so forth. This team is really good, but could be 3x better IMO.
January 18, 201313 yr Theres superstar names missing but its still a strong star studded team that's more well balanced and built to win as opposed to an All Star game-like roster of names without the depth necessary to win a tournament.
January 18, 201313 yr Pretty shocking Ricky Nolasco isn't starting for the USA. I wonder if he had a prior engagement.
January 18, 201313 yr Pretty shocking Ricky Nolasco isn't starting for the USA. I wonder if he had a prior engagement. ANDERSON PEREZ IS STARTING FOR VENEZUELA!!!
January 19, 201313 yr USA with a crap tactular team. Impressive with so many big names not in it. Sad really, WBC doesnt take off in this nation at least until the players take pride in playing in it and not look for reasons to not play.
January 19, 201313 yr I really want to like the WBC but deep down I kind of think it's a huge joke. After a couple test runs I think this year it finally starts taking off and becoming something bigger, as it should be. Its a great idea all around.
