But yeah, sucks Alvarez and Eovaldi are hurt, but at least Sanabia will get a chance and we do get to see Jose Fernandez.

I'm actually pretty excited about this! Fernandez is our potential ace and had a great Spring. I'm sure the FO believes he is ready because the last thing they would want to do is start the clock on a future stud who might be overwhelmed at the big league level. I mean, even Stanton was held back a few months.

 

I just wish that he was pitching one of the first 3 games so I could go see him in D.C.

Meh, I don't blame the FO for these injuries. As far as I know Eovaldi and Alvarez never had an injury history, and I don't think anyone expected Turner to turn into a great pitcher over night.

 

I will admit though I thought Turner would have a solid year in the bold prediction thread. It could still happen, but I imagine he'll get plenty of work in the minors.

How about John Maine to name a starter and bring some long relief from minor?

This all could have been avoided if Lenny Harris had thrown out the first pitch last year in honor of Trayvon Martin.

The Standard Operating Procedure from day 1 with this FO has been to wait on starting the clock. Now suddenly that is not an issue apparently. This is just another example of a FO that is desperate and changing course once again. It seems as if there is very little direction, just reactions and no set plan.
