October 1, 201312 yr Someone I would love to see hired as Marlins Batting coach in all seriousness because he comes from the old Charlie Lau school of hitting and has a ton of experience would be Hal McRae... The Marlins organization needs to infuse a whole new approach to hitting altogether and he would be the right one to get it done That would actually be a possibility as he was with the Devil Rays with our new GM and team Prez.
October 3, 201312 yr sounds like they're considering Andy Barkett, the Jax Suns manager as the (or one of two) hitting coach. I've heard him on the radio a lot up here & met him briefly once. He's a good guy, bilingual & think he grew up in South Florida actually, plus he obviously knows a lot of the young players on the team. No idea about his ability as a hitting coach but just having seen some of the kids before in the minors he could be a nice fit.

October 4, 201312 yr Is the team taking resumes for a third hitting coach in 2015? I would love to make league minimum and help the team hit like shit because shitty players will always hit like shit. Sign me up.

October 4, 201312 yr Barkett, is loved by his players. He's a players coach. I think that matters when so many of your ex players are in the league. Reminds me of Malle and when he got fired players were pissed especially Logan.
