September 22, 201411 yr Atlanta BravesVerified account@Braves The Braves have dismissed general manager Frank Wren. John Hart has been named as the interim GM. Dumb move IMO. Wren has been regarded as one of the better GMs in baseball. I would only knock him for Uggla and BJ Upton, which were expensive mistakes.
September 23, 201411 yr I understand Braves' decisions. GM Wren was doing his job as he can. But a couple of huge FA contracts has choked himself as a result. Particularly, FA hitters are so terrible.
September 23, 201411 yr Hard to believe the new GM will keep Fredi. Not even Marlins bitterness speaking, he's an awful lineup constructor and bullpen manager. I feel like we have a lot of those around here...
September 23, 201411 yr Damn- I'm upset by this.... Anyone who can make the brave irrelevant should be given an award. I liked him in Atlanta- Cuz, fuck the Braves

September 24, 201411 yr Definitely seems odd to let Wren go... I mean its not like the Braves weren't successful with him and seasons like this one, while disappointing, they basically just missed the Wild Card. I'm just saying a lot of GMs would kill for a season like the Braves just had relative to other teams that can't even sniff the playoffs. Someone definitely got tired of just missing the mark I guess.
September 27, 201411 yr Surprising IMO considering injuries to their rotation should have made them irrelevant this year and they were able to stay in it most of the year. Upton was a total fuck up, but Uggla had a career year in ATL and was not a total loss. As someone else said, he should be acquired by someone quickly.
