Pass on Alvarez, and if Rockies want too much for Morneau (aka Eovaldi and everything left in the barren wasteland that is our minor league system) then Michael Morse needs to be priority #1.

 

 

Pedro is an interesting option. He definitely has upside and I think I'd rather gamble on hjm having a monster power year than even a guy like Morneau.

 

Morneau isn't that great anymore and I don't see him repeating what he did last year.

If we can't get Morneau, I'm OK going into spring training with what we have. Around Spring Training there will be cuts and injuries, the Rockies, and other teams, might be willing to trade then.

Same can be said about Eovaldi, but at least he just had a 3 WAR season and he has more control. If you can get the Pirates to also send you something to replace some of the inventory we just lost, you do it.
