December 11, 201411 yr At this point, let's just get him. Our farm system is pretty barren now. But, as I say this, I know the Marlins will do something stupid and end up trading Eovaldi because they have Haren. Haren will retire and we'll basically have to replace Eovaldi with crap.

December 11, 201411 yr If Marlins were to make trade I'd think Descalfani and or Eovaldi would be part of deal. Honestly I'd try to package them with Jones and throw in some cash or see if they will take the contract in the trade. Morneau makes $7.5 million and Jones makes $5 million.

I'm sure any deal with the Rox that involves a talent like Eovaldi would have to include them taking Jones as well. Which probably won't be so bad for them, I imagine he'll hit alright in Denver.
