Hey look the starting rotation is actually pretty good.

It's almost like you can't judge an entire season based on a few games worth of samples amirite?

Starters are 7th out of 15 in ERA (so average), while our FIP is 11th (5th worst) and our xFIP is 13th (3rd worst). They're also third worst in IP per start.

Our .239 BABIP is lowest in the NL (Lowest in majors, actually)

If you're high off the starting rotation after a few low hit games, you're probably going to be disappointed in the long run.

Dan uggla 3 run homer in the ninth. Nats up 13-12 wow.

This site (and team) is full of criers it turns out

Can you really blame us considering the ups and downs over the years?

9 down, 83 to go.

Braves blew 9-1 leads game. lol

I just about laughed my ass off seeing the highlights and Uggla coming through as the highest paid Brave. lol.

But we get Henderson back soon. That should help. That starter ERA is also inflated by that first Latos game. Not saying we should ignore it happened, but 3/5th of the rotation has an ERA of 3.4 or lower and the two guys who don't are coming off starts of 7.1 IP 0 ER and 6.1 IP 2 ER. I think the rotation is pretty decent once Alvarez is back. Alvarez/Latos/Cosart/Koehler/Haren with Phelps available at a moment's notice is an improvement over the Carlos Zambrano's, Rick VandenHurk's, and the Mark Hendrickson's of the world.

Yes, because ups and downs happen all the time to every team. You can differentiate the intelligent fan from the average fan by the way they react to adversity that occurs over the course of the season.

276253_Papel-de-Parede-Meme-Jackie-Chan_1920x1440.jpg But you're doing the same here lololol

You can say that. I can also say I'm reacting more to the group calling this the worst rotation in baseball after a few games and this run of games showing that their more of a middle of the road rotation which is pretty good. If our bullpen starts pitching like it's capable of and the offense gets to where it should this team could go on more runs like this 6 out of 7 run.

But if you want to me rant and call Latos the worst pitcher ever and cry about how our starters can never go beyond 5 innings then I'm happy to do that.

I don't think anyone was calling it the worst rotation in baseball. Just that it was bad. It more-so was a "what's wrong with the team, offense or starting pitching" thing and everyone who thought the offense was a problem didn't understand that offense as a whole is down in the league.

We entered the day 4th in runs in the NL.

Haren and Koehler should not be in a rotation together.

ZiPs projects Haren to have a 4.43 ERA the rest of the way out and Koehler 4.39. I agree they'll probably be around there. That's really bad in today's game.

Keep in mind, a 3.65 ERA is the NL ERA right now.

Settle down brah, I'm the one that said SP wasn't the reason why we were 3-10 and others were flaming me for it.

I'm just pointing out the fault in your logic.

DH please. kThnxBye.

Maybe our pitchers are doing better because Salty just sucked at everything, including calling games.

While I don't think the pitching will hold up like this, I also don't think they'll be as bad as that one little stretch at the start of the year. Here's hoping Latos pulls it all together tomorrow

How many other teams are owned and operated by Jeffrey Loria?

Ha flaw in my logic. Please tell me that flaw. It was a sarcastic comment making fun of the doomsdayers at the start of the year.

And by the way, it's absolutely wrong to say starting pitching wasn't a reason for the 3-10 start when they combined for a 5+ ERA early on. I argued for them back then and still do obviously, but they were definitely part of the problem even if the offense was just as putrid.

Because you're saying, hey look, our rotation is allright after all, while then saying 'It's almost like you can't judge an entire season based on a few games worth of samples amirite?' but it's the exact same thing you're doing in your first statement. I don't know man, seems like some flawed logic to me.

You do say 'imirite?' just at the end, which I guess it's implying sarcasm. However, I choose to ignore that.

I'm an idiot.

He couldn't even commit a crime and frame someone else for it
