DJ won't be fired but he may elect to slide back into the GM role

is this a source thing or a  Admin thing?

This is just me guessing and speaking out-loud.  Absolutely nothing its based on.

It may be based on the way the team is playing since DJ took over.

It isn't because of DJ. The team hasn't been hitting this entire home stand with the exception of a few Stanton homers.

I disagree completely. The appointment of DJ has reduced a poor team to a clueless team.

I was at the game yesterday and when we went down 5-0 I went to the bar at the 3rd base dugout. People were talking and talking loud about this Marlins team and the FO epic fail to deliver a contender team. People where saying that this has become to embarassing. How come a team FO keeps going backward. Also someone was talking about Loria selling the team which I will gladly support that, but he wont sell it probably after the 2017 season because the all star game is in Miami that year. So most probably we will have to eundure 3 more seasons of Loria and his crooks.

I wish Loria would get into the cage and take some more BP.  He also needs to work on his pickoff game.

An ironic American?

IMHO, we were doing just fine under Red. The poor start had been fuelled by Hernandez and Alvarez missing which robbed the bullpen of Phelps and Koehler. No one could have predicted how poor Salty, Yelich, Morse and Cishek would be. OK, maybe Salty.

Still, we did touch .500. Once Hernandez, Alvarez returned and Yelich, Morse and Cishek reverted back to the players they are known to be, we would have had a good crack of moving upwards.

But Loris panicked and pulled the fire trigger and then compounded his error by appointing a joke of a manager.

Just my opinion, like.

HE DID NOT MAKE THE DECISION TO HIRE DJ!!!!!!!! HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO POST THE SAME THING HERE?  He just went along with the decision, something 99% of you demanded he would do for years.

TBH I really think the managerial change was fueled much more by Jennings than Loria. He really thinks things like Latos's diminished velocity doesn't matter and that it was Redmond's fault he sucked

The one time the idiot Loria should step in and stop something he doesnt.

Besides DJ is an extention of Loria anyway, so Loria can do what he has truly always wanted to do and that is manage.

I'm sure Loria raised 0 objections to that call...

He owns the team. In the end, it's his choice. Agreeing to a decision is the same as deciding, when you're in charge. The buck stops with you. He surely knows enough about baseball to understand that his 'baseball people' suggesting the appointment of a person with no-MLB experience to manage an MLB team is a not a very good idea.

Sure, but he had a say in the construction of this roster which clearly isn't nearly as good as he expected it to be.

The problem with the Marlins during the Loria era is that the front office always has unreasonably high expectations for the team's performance.

If this team's losses lead to Jennings and Hill getting fired, it was worth it.

Then he'd be meddling which you all (most of you anyway) didn't want him to do.
