This KC bullshit is exactly what the MLB wants. They want a 'call to arms.' They want you to refresh their ad-driven page 25 times a day. It's exactly why I won't do it, and haven't for years. Maybe if I were voting in the ballpark. 

 

But fuck their lil scheme they've got going here. Whoever generates us the most ad revenue can see their team's player(s) in the game! Lick my shit, MLB. 

 

 

I hope Rios and Gordon both pass Trout.

So, not sure if this is true because MLB.com has made no mention of it (then again, maybe they don't want this kind of attention), but I really do hope it is. Turns out there has been some "manipulation" of votes. Or something along those lines. they say they do this every year, but I'm sure there is something different going on. 

 

 

If the voting is legit and fair under the rules, they need to keep it the way it is and then change the process next year.

 

 

If you wanna 'give fans power' i.e. make ad revenue, just let them vote on who starts. After the all-stars have been selected by a committee. 

 

Then, it'll seem like they had a choice. When they don't.

 

 

Why royals per se and not Giants?

 

Midwestern people have a very weird thing with random ballot box stuffing fever and it's apparently highly contagious. Sometimes a Nebraska Cornhusker here in Lincoln is on some kind of voting thing, and even the normal fans will stop at nothing to nonstop vote until they get the desired result. To turn the deal on my own alma mater, Cy the Iowa State Cyclone mascot somehow won the Capital One mascot challenge for a year, and believe me, I am as baffled as anyone else how that happened.
