Good call FanGraphs

ALL posted after the season began, doesn't really count after seeing him do well does it?

Plus, it doesn't matter if it was one writer, they still had it on their site so its their credibility that takes a hit IMO.

For example, lets say that David Marcillo guy posts a story on the website he works for and its outrageous -- their reputation is at stake too. So no matter who wrote this, its FanGraphs who had the content and allowed it to exist.

Also, I i referenced two stories in my opening post.

You're absolutely right, and I concede my point.

That being said, I am tempted to tell that David Marcillo guy to post an article that just says POUND SIGN BAN Admin on that website he works for, but he probably wants to keep working for that website, soooo...

Because my Cardinals are off today and I dont want to think about the disaster that our season is quickly eroding into.

Weren't you a Giants fan?

All I saw was "Pound Admin"

:wub

Is that what did you in Das?

That was the final straw, yes.

Fool me once, shame on you.

Fool me twice, shame on me.

Fool me three times, I dont know.

Fool me four times, well I still dont know.

I think after 6-7 times I was fooled into thinking this franchise gave a damn and were serious about acting like a real franchise I finally woke up and said fuck it.

I don't see why it's wrong to criticize the moves of a front office that hasn't produced a team with a winning record since 2009. Six straight seasons with more losses than wins is unacceptable and worthy of immense criticism. Sure Dee turned out right, but giving up valuable pieces in the trade was a sign of a greater issue, which is the Marlins undervaluing their own players. Look around the league and you'll find guys that we gave up on doing well for other teams. There's a problem with management, ownership, coaching, everything.

I might be a fan of the team, but that doesn't mean I have to be blind to the fact that I root for a team that has been mismanaged for years. I said at the start of the season that I wished the Marlins did a rebuild more like how the Mets did it, hiring an analytics guy in the front office and building around great pitching. If the Marlins front office is still afraid of new age statistics and out of the box thinking, that is a damn good explanation for why this team is in the poor shape that it is now.

Seriously, I don't get how Das being honest, whether that be optimistic or pessimistic, makes him a bad fan. Blindly agreeing with everything a front office tells you and taking it for gospel is more of a sign of a bad fan. Poor performance and a poorly run organization deserves to be criticized. There were obvious flaws with this season and many that came before it, and they all deserve to be criticized. The fact the Marlins continue to make the same garbage mistakes and are looking at managers like Admin Bowa and Manny Acta just tells you that things will just never change until somebody runs the Marlins and embraces sabermetrics to the fullest. While I love Dee, his abilities are due for drop offs given hits tend to stop dropping in spouts during a season. I'd like more of the Shin-Soo Choo types or whatever and focus on things beyond basic counting stats.

I don't hate Das, and I respect him, but its also obvious that he can't stand this team and most of their decisions, so I was just questioning why he even bothers following them so closely anymore. I thought it was a fair question all things considered.

He likes us even if he'll never admit it so he keeps coming here

I have nothing else to do on those days tbh

marlins also have some damn talented young players that if developed properly and surrounded with the right veterans and coaching staff would do well.

What I do hate is Loria and his constant saying one thing and doing another

hiring Jennings as manager was a joke. Doesn't matter if it was his final call or not. He is the owner and either him or Samson are the ultimate decision maker

why hill and Jennings are still part of the front office is why this franchise sucks.

Worst system in in baseball by miles.
