Finally its working, when I say this stuff to girls they tune me out and walk away.

Why is your confidence down? You are not ugly.

I wouldn't hate having Cliff Lee if there was a better rotation around him but I feel like he might be our "biggest" acquisition and we're gonna rely on him way more than we want to admit and that's not good. Shudder

According to Stark the Ray's are making all of their starters available with exception of Archer.  The Marlins need to call the Rays ASAP!

Which of their pitchers have a K in their names?

Admin... What are the chances we make a significant move during the winter meetings?

Not necessarily significant as in a blockbuster but just that we do something because so far our on field moves have been minimal at best.

JaKe Odorizzi you dumb dumb. :)

gotta love the team philosophy of getting pitchers who suck (cheap) and "hoping" they turn it around magically

Culture of stability

Scoop jokes aside, Frisaro has said more than once this week that he thinks the Marlins are gonna be forced to go outside of their comfort zone and either spend a little more than they expected or make a trade they weren't expecting.

I agree with this. The starting pitching needs are too glaring and they (the front office) feel like they're close enough to contending that they won't make zero moves so something has to give.

They won't pursue anyone worth money, players will laugh or not want to come to Miami because of Loria's knee-jerk dictatorship so watch our rotation be Jose, Koehler, Conley, Cosart and Nicolino.  Loria doesn't spend anything extra.

Don't start with that junk about players not wanting to come here. Zack Greinke just went to Arizona for Christ sake. If we offer the money free agents will come here. Players don't particularly avoid this place just because of our bad reputation. It's been proven time and again that if the money is right we can get free agents. And beyond money there's several things down here that, all other things being equal, can attract players such as playing for Mattingly and Bonds and alongside Stanton Fernandez and Gordon and also our ballpark.

They spent money.  I doubt cheap-ass will throw enough at a good player to come here.  By the time he tries to spend, the good ones are gone and I hope he doesn't overspend on shit or get crap like Harang

It's just over the WM day 0. The truth is, Only money can beat the money always.

I think Marlins would only pursue the players they want it and taken by other teams at last.

Nah dawg.

Guy wants to stay on West Coast probably and I rather give that same contract to an Ian Kennedy type, whose contract probably went up a little more now.
