DolphinJohn
Another Bible boy. What's up with all the hardcore Christians? I mean, whatever you want to believe is cool but there seems to be a lot of it with the Marlins...

Rydawg
Don't you find Greek Mythology to be a little...silly? Greek Mythology is not a religion today. I realize that back in the day other cultures worship different Idols, and even the Sun but that was more out of ignorance. It doesn't mean that they weren't intelligent. Ben Carson is a brilliant surgeon yet he has tremendous faith in God. Does that make him not intelligent?
EricOwens!
Hey guys before we start debating about religion let's dispel this fiction once and for all that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows exactly what he's doing; he's undergoing a systematic effort to change this country and make America more like the rest of the world. If I'm elected we'll embrace what makes America the greatest country in the world.

Rydawg
I'm a Christian, but I don't have to constantly remind everyone. That is your right as much as it is theirs to speak openly and freely about it. It doesn't make you any more genuine to not speak about it. At the end of the day it's just a matter of preference and what you are comfortable with.

EricOwens!
Does the fact that he is redundant about it make that statement untrue? No it doesn't although what he's saying doesn't really mean anything. It's just a cheap way of appealing to a nationalistic base.

It means something to the people that he's appealing to and that's one of the reasons he has been climbing in the polls recently. Is it cheap? Yes, but all politics is cheap. Bernie Sanders, Hillary, and the rest of the Republican candidates say things to rally their base and garner support as well. It's all just politics. Agreed on your points, but I think the issue with Rubio was that he was incapable of responding to Christie's question, instead falling back into his practiced rhetoric that was clearly prepared for him prior to the debate. He had something to say, and he said it, regardless of the fact that it did not fit into the topic at hand.

A politician redirecting a question in a debate and getting to his talking points; is that a shocker? Is that new? Every debate that I've seen is like that. They are taught to debate that way. Redirect and get to your talking points. Again, it's just politics. The only people that would have a problem with that are the one's that don't support him. Obama did the same things in his debates with Romney and liberals didn't go nuts over it but Republicans did. Like I said, just politics. Yeah, but it's one thing to revert to talking points as all politicians do, and another thing to repeat the same speech verbatim several times in the course of a few minutes. If Rubio wanted to go back to his Obama-bashing rant, fine, but he went back to the same exact speech using the same exact words. It wasn't a talking point, it was a rehearsed speech that had no place in the part of the debate where he placed it.
