No he isn't elite. But I can't say he hasn't done what we have asked of him.

also literally every runner he's left on when pulled has scored. That's a good .50 to .75 added to his era.

We paid him good money to be our #2. He has an ERA over 4. He hasn't done what's asked of him, and has actually looked pretty mediocre at times against some bad lineups. Fortunately, his peripherals suggest better days, but there are times when it looks like he's throwing BP. He was supposed to be better in the NL, and it hasn't really worked that way so far.
