5/28 marlins @ braves

So we use him more than Jackson? I mean wtf man seriously? This guy Urena can't freakijg pitch. His secondary pitches suck so they sit on a fastball. It's the majors. You can throw 101 but they will hit it.

Mattingly's decision was questionable, but Chen was looking mediocre again. Our starting pitching, except for Jose, has been absolute shit.

Chen's 5th was as clean an inning as you get.

That was a pretty wicked spin the ball took on that hop to Ozuna, maybe if he's playing the ball in the middle of his body he would've been able to at least knock it down, not sure.

It was a dumb error in the case of trying to do too much. They were gonna tie it regardless he just opened the flood gates.

Yeah, against the bottom of the Braves order. He threw like 40 pitches in the 4th, and has really been a disappointment to be honest. This guy is our #2 supposedly. Came into the game with a 4.61 ERA and labored against this putrid Braves lineup.

The way this has gone some will say it's our crap of losing to the braves but the truth is Donnie didn't need to pull Chen and Urena needs to be sent down. Beyond that it's all just us standing on the ledge again.

so what give him the 6th. the top of thier order sucks too. our pen is garbage outside of the 7/8/9. I see no defense for pulling him

Errors happen.  Bottom line is that Don is bad at bullpen management. This is all on Don for bringing URENA in to a close game.  I knew this was the likely outcome the minute I saw him come into the game.

It's not really a defense of Mattingly. I agree that it's questionable at best to take him out. I just wanted to point out that the guy we gave all this money to to be our reliable #2 has been an unreliable source of mediocrity.

If we had a real starting rotation he'd be fourth, third at best. The Marlins want him to he a #2 and while he's shown glimpses of that throughout his career, he's probably not that good consistently. We're putting too much on his shoulders.
