Wait, who's this? We have a prospect?

Wait, who's this? We have a prospect?

Probably not. Probably plays for the Mariners and someone, won't say who, thought it was our prospect.

This kid is going to get traded for Bud Norris

Marlins would give Paddack a shot to start in the big leagues before trading him for Norris - a half year rental.

This one is gonna be exhibit A of this phenomenon. People literally asking who he was a week ago and now rage.

Every damn time, and yes this thread really shows it off well since it happened recently.

ok time to close this thread as he is no longer a Marlin

In@pollyvonwog 's defense he studies the minor leagues and knows what Paddack is all about. He can be upset. Can't defend all the other yayhoos though.

Yeah @pollyvonwog heard of the guy, but the replies here show the general view of Paddack prior to a couple weeks ago. Very few knew he existed and now he's Cy Young.

what he's done in A ball at his age this year doesn't grow in trees especially in this organization

The trade is proof positive that Mike Hill reads these threads.  "We have a great prospect with an insane K/BB ratio?  Better trade him for an old relief pitcher, stat!"

I hold you responsible, @pollyvonwog

A prospect 99% of the people hadn't heard of before this thread but now they are crying.

I'm not crying. I cried when I realized what we could've had for Miguel Cabrera.

This is just a baseball move. We don't even keep good pitchers around when they're MLB ready.
