Trade Stanton

Featured Replies

I'm sure he'll waive the NTC if asked. Why keep him when his future looks bleak? He's hot right now but lets be realistic, his first 2 months is more of what we can expect going forward. Just to get out of that albatross of a contract, we should take nothing back even.

Wow way to provide a conflicting argument.

Sorry...I assumed you were just joking/trolling the board.

Its one thing to propose trading Stanton...but to say his "albatross of a contract" would force us to take nothing in return is ludicrous. Teams, especially the ones with deep pockets, would line up to offer the Marlins their best prospects for a club-controlled Big G.

So we should trade a perennial 35 HR guy (at least) to get out of a bad contract? This is why we can't have nice things.

@Entendu, are you capable of typing words or just posting juvenile memes?

Because of your initial post, I'm kind of afraid to use words right now after seeing how dumb they can make people look.

So one post is a meme, the second is a childish insult. I hope you're 13 for your sake.

Can you not post anymore, please?

I was negative rep'd by some guy named @el penguino who didn't have the time to reply. Is this the norm here?

If it makes you feel better Stanton will probably opt out in a few years and we won't have to pay the backend (expensive) part of the contract.

Finally a well thought out response. I guess one member here has a brain cell

And you are questioning the mental capacity of others?

I feel the same way about new members as I do bandwagon fans. They are super annoying, but the reality is some of them will stick and become real fans over time. It's a love hate thing.

If the marlins continue to do well I'd expect this more. Saw it with the new ballpark.

You are correct. We like to give chances here so we won't throw him out immediately. We're not savages. I think.

Part of me wants to believe @Vince0926 got bored, made an undercover account and created this thread.

He does sound just as dumb as Vince.

Damnit Squall, you were supposed to be the one with the braincell here.  Now he's going to call you dumb too :'(
