Maybe it's just me, but I think that Dietrich has been awful this year, especially in recent months. He's done nothing and is probably the most overrated player on the board at the moment. 

 

What I'm surprised about is he showed flashes of power In previous years and now this year, he has turned into another singles hitter with the rest of the team.  I think he has 3 HR on the year and much more at bats then in years past.

Regarding the rotation, I feel like Koehler's improvements could be legit, I like Urena's stuff and I think Phelps can succeed as a starter too. So I hope we don't do something stupid and overpay a veteran SP this offseason.

I've doubted Koehler's ability to be consistent for over three years now so I'm just keeping with tradition.

 

I also like Urena, but he's always screamed relief pitcher and possibly a good 8th inning guy even while he was in the minors. 

 

Phelps is doing amazing as a starter and likely has cemented a starting rotation spot to start next season, but long term he really excels in that 7th/8th inning role. I feel as if long term he's an average starter (4th/5th starter) but an above average setup man. Unfortunately I think necessity will keep him in the rotation even if he starts to tail off. 

 

 

Richard was so terrible the Cubs wouldn't pitch him unless the game was a blowout and he comes over to the Pads and just throws up 0s against this team. Bring on the Pads bullpen
