prob better def but AJ is like 36 and his age 35 season is prob as good as it gets

To be fair, Ellis is a better hitter than Mathis. Although that's not saying much since we're both probably better hitters than Mathis too.

They will probably just cheap out and use Telis as the first base backup hitting lefties and as a 3rd catcher....replacing Chris Johnson after they missed out on Steve Pearce.

With Ellis signing, Mike Hill said JT Realmuto could see a little time at 1B to keep legs fresh.

 

 

For this shit they should have just re-signed Mathis whom the players really liked and the pitchers liked pitching to.  Yuck!  Give Telis a chance at least.
