I pose these questions...

Are these older logos better than the new ones, in which cases are they, which are they not.

Which of these do you like most?

We will get into uniforms later as well.

Add any other additional comments you would like to add.

I will break it down and say newer or older based on which I like more.

Braves: Newer

Reds: Older

Astros: Older

Expos: Same

Pirates: Older

Padres: Older

Orioles: Older

Angels: Newer

Tigers: Older

Brewers: Newer

Twins: Newer

Athletics: Newer

Mariners: Newer

Rangers: Older

Blue Jays: Newer

I like the Reds the most...

I like the old Reds logo too.

Some of the old logos needed to go, like the Braves and the Astros (once the Astrodome went). Even the A's logo is pretty dated. The Padre one is cute - I had always remembered it as a friar/monk striking out (pretty fitting for the old Padres) but I guess he's really hitting a home run.

I don't even know what most of the logos look like anymore. I read that baseball wants to change all the batting practice jerseys, which is just a marketing ploy. Change the look so all the kids will want the to buy new ones.

very observant 83gator on the astrodome part.

why the reds put black into their colors i dont know.....

well i do know, its because black was 'cool' and i guess to an extent it still is. personally i hate it. i like teams with personality. if black is part of their traditional colors, then fine, but in the reds case, it is not. same thing really applies to the marlins, black should not be their primary color, teal should be. but so be it.

enough of my soap box.

i liked the reds, expos, padres, orioles, rangers and bluejays the most.

Of the ones you listed, I guess I would go for the old SD logo. Although for logos, I think the Cards have the classiest looking logo for their uniforms (and pretty timeless too.)

later.........

Brewers: Newer

Since most people up here want to travel back to 1982, most Brewer fans hate the new logo. I was born under the 'ball and glove'. It will always be my favorite. The new logo is a little too close to the Miller 'M', but it's still a very nice logo.

BTW, Nice place you got here.

Welcome to the boards.

Interesting...a good friend of mine is still saddened over 82.

Do yall want to return to your older uniforms also, with the pinstripes and all?

Out of curiousity.

PS...I never had a problem with the old logo, the new one is just plain.

the old Cubs, Tigers, Pirates, Reds, and Blue Jays logos are the best. all other logos pale in comarison...

Just in case youre looking for team logos, I found an awesome website, its called www.logoserver.com. It has the logos of every team in every single sport, every single league-major league, minor league, amateur leagues, throughout history. Its really amazing. For instance, Das, are you familiar with the:

They played in the TIFL-Texas International Football League.

That one I was not aware of Ross....

There have been so many football teams to come and go from San Antonio though...

Here are a few...

San Antonio Stampede (United Professional Football League)

San Antonio Toros (Continental Football League)

San Antionio Riders (World League of American Football..now NFL Europe)

San Antonio Force (Arena Football League)

San Antonio Texans (Canadian Football League)

San Antonio Gunslingers (United States Football League)

Anything old is better than new.

I'm already sick of MLB teams whoring out their appearance every couple of years in order to create more licensing revenue, ie. Brews, Tigers, etc...

As for uniforms... Bring back the mid-seventies pale hose, with the leisure suit collars!

I like the old blue jays logo. Their new one looks like weird every time I look at it I think is the Texas Rangers logo.
