As for us allowing the most homers a lot of that has to do with that fact we've played 6 games against the Mets so far. And that's the only way the Mets really score. By hitting homers.

April 16, 20179 yr Great win. Always nervous watching Ramos close, he'd go 3-2 on his mother. But a 1-2-3 inning and those two K's. That breaking ball to get the Granderson K was as nasty as they come. Nice to see him alleviate the suspense in the 9th. Would love to see more of that.

April 16, 20179 yr How come when they lose 2 in a row, the world is ending but when they win 2 in a row, there is no talk of a championship. Why do people only overreact in one direction? I wish they'd never overreact but it seems odd. mostly because championship is the top of the pyramid. there is no bottom of the pyramid, but I think the amount of people that think we'll end the season number 1 is similar to the number that thinks we'll end 30. We are a middle team in the league, and some good fortune going our way, people breaking out or playing above their heads could push us over, while bad luck, under performance and injuries could push us near the bottom. Right now though, it feels kinda good.

Conely settled in well but I still have concerns about his velocity. Saw a few fastballs clock at 88. That's not where it should be nor is topping out at 91. I wasnt thrilled about the Tazawa signing but was hoping they knew something we didn't. He needs to be on mop up duty until he proves otherwise.

Just watch the games, and you'll see strengths and weaknesses. We're going on game 12. You know the square root of dogshit about how good the team is in relation to any other. It's just the trendy thing to do. To say how much the team sucks because of loria/hill or whomever. I like to watch the game of baseball because it's entertaining and enjoyable. I'm pretty sure most people here didn't predict we'd win in 2003 or that the royals would even make the series in 2014
April 16, 20179 yr They've been in every single game and are playing with plenty of heart. Great game!!!! Mattingly's specialty is getting these guys to play over their heads. He did that last year too. If only he could improve upon the in-game management, OMG - look out!! I love the team spirit and chemistry. The games are so fun to watch. I just wish I could stay awake for the ends of them! :2_grimacing: Yay for an early game today!!!!!!
