May 16, 20179 yr Author DFA'd already !? I wish. Steckenrider is performing well in NoLa. Also Don Mattingly has apparently joined the "blow the team up" camp putting him in to pitch with a one run lead. Either that or he's Don Mattingly.
May 16, 20179 yr I think he has been passed his career-best thru 2013 and 2014 season. GM Hill didn't know about it or don't mind it or just screw up this organization intentionally. In MLB korean community, there are lots of Red sox fans. someone said to me, "Why Marlins picked up Tazawa before this season? He were almost busted at the end of sox nation."
May 16, 20179 yr I feel like the time has come for the team to be proactive about this problem on our hands. Last night felt like the final straw and it even looked like it as far as Mattingly, Nieves, Tazawa, even the translator. Something's coming here I think. As far as the FO, they seem to think we're still in this season because it's only May so from that perspective, there's even more reason to finally do something about this guy now. Let's see what they do.
May 16, 20179 yr Author This was before the 4-run 1-inning in a 1-run game abortion. So pretty much everything I pointed out. He's actually been fortunate to not allow more runs than he has and he has a 6.6 ERA. Amazing. Dude is probably the worst reliever in baseball.
May 16, 20179 yr Not many options to go to, Ziegler sure as hell is a no, so that only leaves Barraclough, Phelps and Ramos as somewhat dependable. I guess run the kids Wittgren and Garcia out more, but this pen is atrocious

May 17, 20179 yr Were any other teams trying to sign him this off-season? Proabably. He was good in the past. Even if some wanna say they saw his decline coming, it wasn't exactly obvious and I'm sure other teams were willing to give him a role.
May 17, 20179 yr Like I said Monday, you could feel the team getting ready to start making moves with Tazawa. The phantom injury thing doesn't surprise me. It's the right move for now. They'll let him return in like 2 weeks and if he bombs after that then maybe they'll think about DFA'ing him but at least they're showing they're not gonna stick with his trash forever.
