June 28, 20179 yr What about the fans that go to games, watch them on TV, and have been fed up with the way the organization has been run since its inception? HMMMMMMMMMM, JOE?! HMMMMMM??? *blocked on twitter* I believe he was busy in blocking people everyday.
June 28, 20179 yr Frisaro has a point. The team hasn't had a winning season since 2009 and hasn't had a playoff appearance since 03 so change is clearly needed yet fans are gonna bitch when change happens as if they care about the team when they don't even bother going to games. How can you want the team to win and yet get mad when they try and make changes to a losing team? It's like if fans here would rather have a losing team forever as long as the players never change so that they can still not even go to the ballpark anyways.

I don't know how many times you expect a fanbase to watch shitty attempts to rebuild without getting upset. So the team can rebuild, suck, still suck after the rebuild, and start the process all over again like we've seen, or we can at least have a couple guys who are there for longer than a year or two into FA and enjoy watching them play. It's not as if the team is going to be good under the current ownership, so whatever.

We're playing good last season until September and we're playing good this season besides that 3~4 bad weeks,so why always only focused on the overall win-lose record ? we're not a team that lose 100 games for three straight seasons but a team that contended until last month in the last season and playing good in the most part of this season…so why just change for change !?

The thing is that silver would be right if the organization wasn't run by retarded aids ridden monkeys with no thumbs. Unfortunately the ownership and the people they hire to run the team are. So I don't really see the issue with wanting to keep a fan favorite player(s) for the hell of it, because it's not as if they are capable of taking that payroll and getting more value out of it. Under new ownership, whatever. I'm down for another hard reset. Why the fuck not? We're basically at peak right now. What I don't think is OK is taking a rational fan approach to rebuilding when the fucking organization is filled with retarded aids ridden monkeys with no thumbs. It's the definition of insanity.

You're right I don't expect the fan base to come out when the team sucks but those fans should be the ones dying for the team to make whatever changes necessary for the team to improve but instead it's the same idiot fans who don't go to the games and don't follow the team who complain when they make changes and trade away players and that's the problem. If they're so in love with keeping these players then why aren't they rushing to Marlins Park to see all these players that they're so upset about potentially losing?

You don't wanna focus on the win loss record but that's what matters at the end of the day. This team has had plenty of good wins and streaks and good months etc etc but they still haven't had a winning season since 09 and haven't made the playoffs in 13 years. Your saying they haven't had 100 loss seasons but high 80s to 90s in the loss column is pretty much the same thing. It's not change for change its change to try and win consistently.

New ownership is coming sooner rather than later and I've said here more than anybody that I want them to do the rebuild and I want Hill and Loria to have zero to do with the rebuild.

If they're so in love with keeping these players then why aren't they rushing to Marlins Park to see all these players that they're so upset about potentially losing? Because there is no hope for a better team or the product on the field. We've seen it plenty of times where the marlins fail to rebuild, lose in trades, and fail in FA signings. We are going to complain about every decision because history has shown the org makes shit decisions and cannot build a team through FA or trades. This organization and ownership is incapable of rebuilds, signing FA, or building a fanbase. So quite literally everything they do can be complained about.
June 28, 20179 yr Funny thing is, the people Frisaro referred to aren't "fans", they are people that live in Miami/South Florida. They don't know what's happening with the Marlins, so how could they complain? The "fans" aren't mad about the fact of rebuilding. They are mad because Mike Hill and Co. are doing so which means it's not going to be a rebuild. More of just a pure tear down. You can't call yourself an investor if you consistently lose money. The "fans" are mad because the organization is a joke around the league. Not because of "fire sales" but how they assemble coaching staffs, allocate resources, and acquire talent. That all starts in Greensboro and works its way up. When you support a rebuild, you are trusting the people making the moves to understand things like value, negotiations and assets. We don't have a strong track record at such things. When you trade Ozuna per say, you have to recoup his production and then some to consider it a success. At this point, I'd be surprised if they could make a single trade for a guy that has real value (not you Hech) and even break even.
June 28, 20179 yr I'd rather watch the same group of shit lose 100 games under the current organization for a decade than watch them fumble rebuilds. At least we could set some records for longest tenured team or something. Better than setting records for highest profile trade busts. Miss u miggy.

Oh wait

June 28, 20179 yr You'd rather have the same team lose 100 games forever just to say we kept a long tenured team than attempt to build a winner? Classic trolling by you. You keep assuming that this organization has any chance to build a winning team. They don't. So I would rather see the same players lose 100 games for a decade than see this organization lose 100 games for a decade with high player turnover.

They don't know what's happening with the Marlins, so how could they complain? They are complaining. They complain all over the internet and social media and that's why Frisaro made the comments he made. Of course true Marlins fans understand what's going on, but it's the others who are doing the complaining.
June 28, 20179 yr The Marlins hit the reset button more than any other franchise but they still never make it beyond level 1. Fall in line or you aren't a real fan.

June 28, 20179 yr Not saying they shouldn't rebuild when things turn out badly. I'm more saying that Hill and Loria have no business presiding over a MLB team. Those fuckers are such a joke at running things that the franchise is firmly entrenched in a hopeless situation. I want 90% of the current roster to be dismantled, but I have zero faith in Hill's ability to get a return that advances them beyond level 1. Agreed. This is why I want the sale to move forward quickly. Let the new guard take over yesterday.

Economics aside, I believe in this core of offensive players. I don't believe that Taiwan is wrong about his assessment of the team. We can be very competitive with better pitching. Even with lousy pitching we are just 5 games under .500 and steadily climbing. We just went 4-3 against the Nationals and the Cubs which speaks volumes as to how well this team is playing. Aside from the SS position we have very capable offensive players at every position. They are also mostly young players under 30 years of age. They score a lot of runs and are pretty good defensively. Again, if not for the blown games by the bullpen and the mediocre SP staff, this team would be in the thick of it. The new ownership should do everything possible to upgrade the pitching staff without tearing this core apart.
