6/27/17 POST GAME

Well, we're in 3rd but if the Padres beat the Braves, we move into 2nd.  Bottom of 1st now and I don't plan to stay up, lol.

A good game.  Ichy had a hit that awakened the team.  The Marlins then scored 2 runs right after.  Ichy leads in NL pinch hits.  He hit some when he was in the outfield.  Wonder what his hit total is now.

Stanton is off again in his batting.  Try out hitting of a "T"?  It certainly made a difference for Bour.

Speaking of Bour, Bour had trouble running but he legged it out to cross over home.  Although his running hasn't been the best, this time wasn't as good at other times.  I think he isn't 100%.

Thought we were in REAL trouble when the first Straily pitch was a HOME RUN.  Although his pitch count made him leave the game at 5 innings, he did a fair job. Had a lot of relievers in almost a revolving door.

Barraclough had a problem tonight.  But Phelps and Ramos are getting back into their form.  Ramos didn't give us much drama.  But Prado gave me a scare trying to hit the popup, and he missed it by inches.  The Marlins don't need more on the DL.

Speaking of the DL, what's going on with Chen?

Crap I jumped off the telecast to watch the news.  So I missed the :220_monkey_face:  delivering the pie.  I see Jessica also got some of the pie.  Who was being interviewed?

Yelich

Great win.  For this game, Riddle did everything Hech could do and more. You know Hech whiffs during that AB late in the game.

So guys..........I think Yelich is banging Jessica.  Anyone seeing what I'm seeing?

porn?

maybe that was the rumored Yelich sex tape a couple years back....

Even if Riddle doesn't pan out this solves one problem with getting Adeiny out of there in the hope they can find a better suitor for that spot in the lineup.  Riddle is in the thick of the "2nd slump" that plagues a lot of rookies...they come in, suck, adjust and hit and go on a streak, and then pitchers readjust to his weakness and the player slumps again - if he can come out of this then that'll go a way to see if he'll be able to helm that position.  He did make a couple pretty plays last night too - Hollytime made me laugh when after Riddle turned the double play he said, "hopefully that helps finish justifying the Hech trade".  Clearly Todder was not a fan of Hech lol.

Yeah, Stanton is not hot like he was there when it seemed like this team was threatening to put crooked numbers up on that board each night but let's not go crazy and start suggesting he's anywhere near as bad as he was during "The Slump" of 2016.  He's still hitting some rocket shots, just not as frequently as he was there for a bit.  This was also about the time last year when Ozuna went into a tailspin so I'm curious to see what he does this year.  Bour chugging around third was sexy -freaking love that guy.

porn?

No, not porn.

I'm talking about the chemistry between Yelly and Jessica.  There's some flirting going on there.

The good news for Riddle is that Ed Lucas is working for us.

Besides that struggled 3~4 weeks,we're just a contended team.

We're good if you take away about half the season.

By the way, we should really consider selling high on Kyle Barraclough. I think I'd trade Barraclough before Ramos at this point. We'd get more via trade for Barraclough because he's cheaper, and I don't think he's the "future closer" some think he could be.

I would love to see the team maybe get a legit prospect or 2 for Barraclough.

Really excited to see what this lineup can do with Yelich starting to hit

That would be a one(Dee)-two(Big G)-three(Yeli)-four(Big Bear)-five (Bour)-six(Real) punch !!!

Now that, I can get on board with. Trading relievers is one of the best ways to incrementally incur talent. But as we all know, they have to do it correctly.
