AJ Ramos traded to the Mets

Featured Replies

To be a sports fan,the most suck feeling would be you just couldn't do anything to any change of the team.

You were asked two questions above. Are you gonna answer them?

92 of 111 saves... who was it that called Ramos a below average closer here the other day?

And caused 1,000's of cardiac arrests. No one comes to the games, cause their DEAD

Merandy Gonzalez, the only interesting player in this deal, has SIX starts in advanced A ball (36 innings) with a 5.94 K/9. This is the only player we got in the deal for an established reliever with another year of club control.

The purpose of trading good relievers is to sell high, not to give them away.

This is a salary dump.

i agree...merandy is a 40FV prospect who sits low 90s...pretty shitty return at best

For what it's worth, from what I've read, Merandy projects to be more of a reliever than a starter.

So we got a projected reliever and a five tool outfielder who, for whatever reason, has zero tool stats.

I think the Mets could trade Ramos on Monday and get a better deal than Mike Hill got today.

I agree.

hey some tool is better than no tool , r u a tool?

As others have said, the Mets did not make that deal because they are making a serious run at the playoffs in 2017. There are plenty of reasons the Mets made that deal that have nothing to do with playoff hopes this season.

And the Mets don't have a desolate farm system. And they aren't undergoing a sale where the franchise is absurdly overvalued by its fuckjob owner, due in large part to the massive debt he has accumulated.

no it's a great move for the muts i agree...i can't believe the marlins got like a 40 FV and 35 FV in return (i can believe it tho)

Just a money dump as usual with this team.

We don't need a 9.3 million dollar closer,  we need a 9.3 million dollar starter who can get into the 6th inning and give up at most 3 -4 runs.

Name this person.

He isn't talking about a specific player. He's talking about a type of player.

Stick to the easy fob targets for the name the player meme.

Thanks Squall,

Apparently this guy isn't very imaginative.

Exactly as you said, a type- not a specific player.

9.3MM dollars can go a long way to finding a back of the rotation starter.
