Marlins acquired RHP Tommy Eveld from the Diamondbacks for RHP Brad Ziegler.

 

Miami lands a nice cost-controlled relief prospect for Ziegler, who is an impending free agent. Eveld, a ninth-round pick in 2016, has registered a dominant 1.11 ERA, 0.93 WHIP, and 47/8 K/BB ratio in 40 2/3 innings this season between High-A Visalia and Double-A Jackson. He could join the Marlins' bullpen at some point in 2019.
