Marlins Park Renovation Updates

Featured Replies

Just noticed the tiles along the top of the section above the Clevelander are now solid blue. That's worth noting as they were originally those tiles that started red and then gradually changed to green. It would be a mission to change all those colored tiles everywhere.

That's good, hope they do it all over. Looks better this way.

They haven't replaced the padding but they have painted the concrete parts of the wall and the blue looks to be the same shade as the seats...

Looks kind of plain all blue.

I'm assuming they just painted over them rather than going through the effort and expense of replacing tiles.

That was actually one of my favorite styling features in the park, along with the transitioning "speckled" floor - I wonder if that will go away too.

I had forgotten to post these pictures I took before Christmas.  New exterior signage has been installed on many of the signs outside.  Though not every one has been installed yet.

Didn't get an interior pics, but from what I could see, it looked like the SRO section in the right field corner was about done.  Obviously looking through the windows in the outfield, I can't see much as far as progress goes on the new center field SRO area.

@rmc523 I wonder if any employees have noticed your creepy ass stalking that place once a week lol.

And it means nothing but the new brown and dark orange color scheme of the majority of the seating map is ugly as shit!

I'm sure brown and orange are cheaper colors for a seating map so Jeter obviously went with those colors to save money.

Haha, I've wondered that too - there's probably a guy in the security booth going "hey look, here's that guy again".

At least this last time, I went to the team store, so it wasn't just solely wandering around taking pictures lol.

Agreed, the seating chart colors aren't the prettiest.

From what I remember in the artist rendering, they're going to put ivy up on the batter's eye and the State Farm area and that looked really nice. So once that comes in, the blue should look alright.

Yeah, I'm sure it'll look better when viewed as a whole.

Or surprised it isn't just the mini pocket schedules taped onto the sign.

Better yet - the magnet ones just stuck on, with a big "take one.....please!" sign next to it.

I don't understand why they are bothering with a SRO section in a stadium they can never fill. At least when I did it in 2002 at PacBell for the Giants, it was because everything else was sold out.

Because the intention is to get it filled consistently in the coming years.

Cheap tickets to target a younger audience, it doesn't have to be sold out for a couple college guys to say "Hey let's get those SRO tickets and have a few beers at the game tonight." I think it's a great idea regardless of attendance factors.
