Marlins Park Renovation Updates

Featured Replies

Anyone know if the ballpark still has that one red seat? It was the first seat installed and I remember they did a mini little ceremony type thing where the season ticket holder who purchased that seat helped to drill in the screws. Anyone else remember that?

Man, the original floor was so valuable to this team. Can't believe Jeter traded away ANOTHER superstar from the Marlins! #FuckJeter

Why does the ballpark even need floors when there's no fans to walk on them????

(ps: I'm not sure if I'm proud or not that #FuckJeter is already saved into my phone)

Oh yeah.  To be honest, I haven't seen it in years, nor do I recall seeing it looking in the windows, but it may still be there unless they removed it to give it to someone.  Of course, with shades of blue seemingly being the only thing allowed in the park now, maybe they'll replace it with a blue one.

Better yet, why have seats?  Jeter's already solving that problem by removing them ?

Some business people got a tour of the ballpark today and they posted some pics on Instagram and I spotted the red chair so yea its obviously still there...

That last row above the red chair being so far off from the other rows is making my OCD go nuts.

Power Showcase at Marlins Park.

Oh wow.

That center field zone is huge.

It does look big.  You can see the existing staircase in the back there, so it wraps around that.

I like it so far.

So I know they're changing the color scheme of the walls and trying to go with that nice blue color all around, but I imagine the batter's eye will stay (black), right? Or perhaps the shade of darker (green) that Arizona has? I've heard/read many players say they love hitting in Arizona because of that batter's eye.

Didn’t a rendering show the batters eye covered in ivy?   The Houston renovation has that with the team logo embedded in the ivy

It'll be ivy (some sort of plant) apparently.  I'm still rooting for bougainvillea, though the flowering would likely be an issue for the batters eye.  You could do it on the state Farm part.

If cheap ass Jeter would hire more than 1 construction worker, it'd be done already.

He should be more like Sherman, now that's a great man who can do no wrong.

Name one construction worker Jeter could have hired. Everyone says all they need was one more construction worker but no one can name this one construction worker or how they'd even get him. Stop with this nonsense.

Right, forgot about that - I'm alright with that as well. Could be fun!

are you implying a constructive criticism ? or just bitchin'

Nice shot showing blue walls in foul territory and the elimination of the colored tiles in the lower areas near the dugouts
